VIL Expansion - Gamma Vanguard Packs

This may be a really stupid question.
I assume that if you were to buy the pack for $129.99 that all the ships will be bound to the Jem Hadar faction. With all the Jem Hadar ships from lock boxes and the lobi store I assume they are not going to let us use them for Starfleet and KDF factions like the Romulan ships are bound to Romulans. If that's the case it doesn't seem worth it.

    No, the Jem'Hadar ships are initially Jem'Hadar only, but once you mastered them (Rank 5 in the Ship Mastery), all other factions get the ship also. The Cardassian ships are already multi-faction.

    All ships in pack are cross faction... the jhd T6 ships are locked but once mastery is done... all other toons can use. the cardi ships are cross faction from the get go.

    Will the things in the gamma pack be available individually?

    i.e. can I still play a cardassian without spending £99.99 on the pack?

    Should be able to. I woould imagine it will be like the Reman species unlocked by reaching T5 in the Romulan rep, ie Cardie will unlock after achieving T5 in whichever rep they release with this expansion.
    Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

    Here's hoping I can spend around the same in zen for those packs, as I cant afford to toss down 130 dollars right now

    You will, all previous expansion bundles have been made available in the c-store upon release. Other venues simply allow you to pre-order them. :)

    Just to be clear all Jem Hadar ships you get from the packs will be playable by all races? So my human can use the Jem Hadar ships from the pack? I just want to make sure it is not like the romulan pack that can only be used by romulan and reman characters. No so much by faction but by race.

    You'll need to make a Jem'Hadar character, then master the T6 Jem'Hadar ships you bought, after which you can then use the T6 Jem'Hadar ships on your Fed character. The T5(-U) ships and the Cardassian ships you'll be able to immediately use on your Fed once the Expansion launches in full, at least this is how the dev blog on them reads.

    If you're still worried, the introductory price for these types of packs usually stays around for a while after the Expansion it ties to launches, so you won't be missing out too much if you hold off pre-ordering.

    Ok, that is a good clarification. I'll like having access to the Jem'hadar ships on my Ferasan Tact. He already has the t5u HEC & Dread, as well as the t6 HEC. The Vanguard Dread looks like it could make for a fun ship. I wonder what other Hull material options these will have as well as their appearance in the Jem Hadar shield visual

    Is there a difference between the ships in this set and the ones from the lobi/lockboxes? Someone that spent 800 lobis on a ship only to find out later is was part of a promo back will not be happy to say the least!

    Most likely not. The two T5 ships have probably been included in the Vanguard pack to unlock to canon costume for the new T6 Jem'hadar ships. Most of the remaining T5 lockbox ships are being sold of on the exchange for less than 10 million EC. It was only a matter of time before we would see the same price collapse with the T5 lobi variants.

    I see the expansion packs are being sold in dollars, not zen. Will they eventually be in the c-store and if so, what will they cost in zen?

    Past performance is not a guarantee of future action, but it can be a pretty good indicator, so I'd say this is should give you an idea where it'll land in the end.

    Basically, ~2500 Zen for the Starter Pack, ~16000 Zen for the Vanguard Pack

    If it is, then expect the costs to be similar to the Temporal packs, if not more.
