If you think about it, the two things in common:
shoot stuff
not much diplomacy
no disable/no-kill option
no stun option
ya its like section 31 took over starfleet and said forget everything, just kill
its kinda grim and i wanna not hurt people as much
as a game its great
as star trek its not so great
unless your a fan of discovery and the jjfilms then it is awesome
now its practically star wars
which was always better by the way
cause its like discovery and the jjfilms
which is awesome and cooler then most treks by the way

now now, comparing sto to star wars is unfair... sith inqustors in swtor can spare way more people and they are not darth sidious and not darth mauls. in fact once you pretty much break one guy mind because of it.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
The excuse "I was just following orders..." as a 'defense' was shown as invalid during the post WWII Nuremberg war crimes trials. And before you call me out for 'going there'; remember it's the STO Dev Team who is trying to present an NPC with that defense as a sympathetic character in that particular mission.
It's the first time I've been really somewhat disgusted by MMO content. That they present a story like this in a game based on Star Trek and have main Star Trek characters being sympathetic to a being such as NETH PARR shows they really don't know their real world history; or are intimating the Federation's values have changed.
PWE ARC Drone says: "Your STO forum community as you have known it is ended...Display names are irrelevant...Any further sense of community is irrelevant...Resistance is futile...You will be assimilated..."
The player is not like Section 31, they resort to genocide. Neth Parr and the Tzenkethi are much closer to them.
Picard may miss the exploration days, but he served during the Dominion War. He's familiar with the more military side of Starfleet and what his job requires.
