Lifetime Membership Sale - FEB 2018

Are lifetime sub sales always 5 weeks long? Because thats an awfully long time to have a lifetime sub sale, I don't remember them lasting very long.

    Yes, they are usually that long. Last one was November 2 to December 7 of last year. However, it is unusual to have one right now. Typically, the sales are in June and November.
    This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    Is there a bug cause it still says 299.99 for me when I add it to cart? Does time zones matter cause I'm in CST zone?

    Be patient, Cryptic is on Pacific time and often starts things a little late.

    Enjoy the LTS: The T5 & T6 escorts are nice; the android boff is great for away teams since it has self-revive and Superior Creative to buff skills; VR environmental armor for New Romulus and Nukara; The +5% XP is nice for leveling new captains (plus the extra bunch of respec tokens). Plus fireworks.

    It was supposed to start 4.5 hours ago, but the list price is still $299. Any idea when that will be fixed, or will the sale price be applied, no matter what the screen says?

    I have a friend likewise wanting to know about it. I just got news within 5 minutes of me slapping this post up on forum. And there's no news on it in the news section.

    Since I don't see a post about it under the official forum tab, yet, & a mod closed the previous, & dated, thread discussing it. This hopefully will clarify details about it as well.

    Isn't there a PC one too though?

    What has me wondering though is some of those perks.

    30x Bonus Inventory Slots (added as you level)
    60x Bonus Bank Slots (added as you level)
    20x Bonus Account Shared Bank Slots
    2x Additional Bridge Officer Slots (added as you level)

    It is pretty annoying and inconvenient that all your hard working 1-2 year old level 60 characters will get the short end of the stick and not receive any increase in inventory or slots. And I haven't worked out the zen cost it would take to unlock all those slots on 9 characters. but I am going to assume more than I can possibly imagine... (yes that was a pun).

    I was tempted to go for it. however knowing that your old characters don't benefit from it makes me reconsider. Still tempting though. But £148 is still awful lot of money. But it would pay itself back within a year.

    Anyone know if you get a increase in inventory and bank space for old toons that already leveled or is that for new characters only?

    That caught my attention too. I do remember some of those perks being part of the LTS perk-list in the past so wasn't sure if Cryptic has now decided to highlight them to make it seem we're getting more with the LTS or if they're in addition to the already available list of perks. It definitely deserves more investigation. I find it more & more difficult to recommend the LTS given the last couple of years in STO, but a sale is good regardless for anyone interested in it & has been waiting.

    Console users don't get 500 monthly zen though do they? The PC seems like a better value choice.

    I've read that console players DO NOT receive a 500 zen monthly stipend unfortunately.

    You must have been on the Xbox/PS4 thread and not the PC news announcement. It reads completely fine for me.

    Really? Nice. Ok I am sold but I might wait a while before going for it. No sense in rushing if I have until April to get the discount.

    Existing characters also get the dry dock slots. I think the only thing existing characters miss out on is the extra respec tokens since they are scripted to be awarded when you reach a specific level, while the other extras are based on your level being X or higher.

    If you are on PC... getting it sooner will mean you get 500 zen sooner.
