you have exchanged the information and inverted the consoles and traits of each faction and there in the discovery lock box are also inverted.

i received a universal console mult target tractor beam, and my caracter is a member of federation,

    but it still does not make sense, the federation members who are gaining these kdf consolations are selling because we do not want this console but mycellial ambush too, so it seems that the only way to get this console is to try to get the discovery in lock box, it would be more certain to take this deal of faction restraint and let both take the console mycellial ambush and the mult target tractor beam, but of course the members of kdf will not complain, since they can acquire with more chance this console

    Two points;
    1. It's been traditional for most of the game's life for lockboxes to offer each faction a chance at the opposing faction's special consoles. It's how KDF can get Point Defense Universal consoles and the Federation gets Subspace Jump or Magnetomagnetic Charge. It's long been one of the ways to help make the game 'fair' so one faction can't complain that the other faction gets a console they don't have an equivalent of.

    2. Part of the reason that it's this way now, especially, with the Discovery lockbox (and the Undiscovered lockbox earlier) is because of the advent of cross-faction equipment sets; if you'll look, the Ambush and Multi-Tractor consoles are both part of a three-piece set with the 'play dead' (forget the proper name) console from the Lobi Store Walker-class; by making them available to the opposing faction in the lockbox, it allows players to complete the set.
