More a nipslip than a flash.

Maybe once cryptic and PWE overlords see that for a global game a 24 hour timeslot would be far fairer I might partake.

Sadly there's nothing left that I want to even buy, unless for whatever reason I wanted the T5 Scimitar's or Oddyssy's I am fine enough with their T6 counterparts.
I stream on Twitch, look for Avoozl_

What's the most the expansions have ever been on sale for? Is it the 65%?

50% off if using cash for expansion packs. 30% off is max I think if using zen. course that excludes the zen bonus.

Not sure who Cryptic is aiming these Flash sales for. Most of the U.S. is at work during this time period. Not everyone sits at a computer playing games while at work like Cryptic employees!

Flash sales for the truly needy.. the unemployed loafers who are still in the parent's basement. GJ Cryptic! ;)

Sadly, 30% off isn't enough of an incentive to buy old 'useless' T5 ships. Make 'em 50% or gtfo. ;)

Can buy the T6 bundles... they are only normally 25% off. But yeah not worth it for T5 bundles.

Once again, these flash sales happen during my NORMAL WORKING HOURS. So for the third time now, you go no money from me because for some reason you think 8 hours is enough IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY.

Catch a clue and cut it the hell out.

Would love to buy. Can't. Gotta work.
If you absolutely MUST only block 8 hours in a 24 hour period maybe you can break it up into 2 4 hour shifts or something.

Yep, every flash sale is during my work shift. It's almost like they don't want me to buy anything.

Thanks for watching out for my budget this month, Cryptic! Running a flash 'sale' when I'm at work means I don't have to worry about giving you any money.

Back to 8 hour flash sales... I had hoped that the 12 hour last one showed that you understood that time-zones are a thing. But apparently not. Not that a 12 hour sale would have been enough for me personally to take advantage of it anyway, but still.

Simple answer to the flash sales is money other than american money is worthless to cryptic so keep it in your wallet and f2p :)

I do wonder why Cryptic is hesitant against having their flash sales during other times. Rotate the times or something & try to include all of your customers. That way if one particular flash sale doesn't fit into a customer's schedule this time it might the next go around. Cryptic's customer service doesn't care anyways imo.

sale is during NA work hours... folks who can play off work hours would be EU/UK and maybe Asia?

Would have been better to get the notification for this sale YESTERDAY when I logged in, rather than the day after it's over. Good show cryptic.

Not really impressed by the fact I JUST bought a ship pack two days prior, and services as well and now today those are 20% off as well. Would have been nice to have that and been able to spend the saved zen on something else. I guess for the future If I'm even inclined to spend any more money, to just hold onto it for the sales to occur. Things are expensive as is, considering a hundred bucks doesnt really net you very much, and the better items come from lockboxes and lobi intentionally. Not to mention you could have spent a few hundred dollars on prior ship packs only to see them re-released in T6s and with certain content pretty much making your older purchase obsolete. It's unreal really. As much as I love this game, and the gaming developers of many companies switching to a freemium platform was definitely a needed change, and puts more money in the pockets of developers, while allowing the casual gamer to enjoy content, but of course, it couldn't be left at that. Lockboxes were invented. It's not enough for your players to be able to purchase ships or even currency directly from the company, it rewards those who spend the MOST money. The players who invest the most money are entitled to a completely different and better gaming experience. Isn't that real life?

T5's were always going to end up irrelevant at somepoint, folk who bought t5 ships will probably have done so during a time when they were the end game vessels.

Cryptic have claimed there won't be a t7 but with the additional consoles being squeezed into the MW ships it does seem like they're trying to keep the power creep going without having to rework more and more ships.

As for advertising the flash sales, do it as a COMING SOON announcement if you're so scared of giving a 24hour notice in case something prevents it. A blog post bang on when the sale starts is not advertising. its mocking people who see it in the days after because the launcher takes so damn long to get new news on it.

Not everyone is glued to the forums and a lot of folk will also have the launcher set to fast launch so they can sign in, fix a drink and have the character select screen waiting when they sit down.

If they wanted to make money off the flash sale, they'd advertise better and run it for 24hours to catch as many folk as possible.

Apparently they'd prefer to rely more on the gamblebox whales and fools instead.
