For those needing to hit level 50 to get the ships. go to the exchange buy a bunch of Mirror invasion Doff assignments, Temporal Assignments, etc. Add in purple doffs, in four hours with about 5 of these running you hit 50 from level 12.

Not really all that useful for newer players or people starting from scratch. Not likely to have the doffs and almost definitely won't have the ecs to pull this off.
It's not a bad idea for people with alts that can fund this for a faction they don't have leveled.
Exactly. As a new player who is not in a position to put money into the game, this is not a viable option for me. I am sure there are many who can make use of this. As it is, I did manage to get the Defiant for my Fed toon. I think I can get the KDF ship today, but my level 15 Rom unfortunately gets nothing. Wish they had made them claimable by everyone, even if we couldn't use them until the appropriate level. Oh well. Hopefully I will be able to make time to go after the new T6 coming with the Anniversary event, although even that will be tricky...
Just hope that these giveaways are also offered to console folks as well - would be a major bum rap if it wasn't extended to us PS4/XB1 players as well

I tried that and apparently they nerfed the system. You can now only do a single assignment at a time, whether it's from the same assignment chain or not. After you launch the first one, any consequent assignment is greyed out, even from another chain...
Just hope that these giveaways are also offered to console folks as well - would be a major bum rap if it wasn't extended to us PS4/XB1 players as well
They've already said Consoles will get the event at a later date due to scheduling with Sony/MS.

Wow, 2 per account that does seem pretty weak in comparison to previous times. Of course, they are free, so the Cryptic faithful will state you shouldn't complain which is another valid point too. I'd think if it was a finale' of any sort Cryptic would want to end on a high note to inspire.
@ The Devs: Can we PLEASE get an answer as to whether or not claiming a ship in this giveaway unlocks it for the account? As to alts being able to claim it once they reach the Lv 50 requirement? It took most of the weekend to get a lone Captain to Admiral (Lv 40) with no time left to get the next ten levels.
Also hoping they'll be available next year, so at least some of my Romulans can claim.

they are account unlocks... but you need to be at level (40 or 45 or 50, depends on ship) to claim T5 ships.
you can't claim a ship unless your able to use em.
Anyone wanna confirm if console are getting ships for the anniversary? We didn't last year after all, and a lot of players getting a bit fed up with the substandard handmedowns from PC version
