I picked the Vo'quv and i have some dilithium.. whats overall better the slavers or the BOPs?

    I really like the Corsair for its tachyon drones (also a beast of a ship, which can take a real pounding, albeit with the grace of a thrown brick...) :sunglasses:

    I'm partial to slavers myself. Mostly because they have beam arrays and drop mines everywhere. Stealing shtako you can sell for ECs is gravy.

    Shield Repair Units, I think. Wiki says they're a Federation exclusive, but KDF get something called Shield Repair Shuttles that look pretty similar.

    My KDF toon flies a Qa'Tel Flight-deck Raptor and uses Slavers. Stealing stuff from enemies is fun, even if it doesn't happen all that often.

    But if you have a Vo'Quv and plan on keeping it for a while, you might as well give the BoPs a go at some point since they're unique to that carrier. Just something to try out when you have some spare dil sitting around.

    Ah. A pity. I find the Shield Repair Units to be WONDERFUL on a fighting ship. Helps keep you from dying

    in terms of pure damage, bird of preys, but slavers do well enough plus extra loot is always good.

    if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

    I'm holding out for a T-6 Vo-Quv. till then this one will be it. I do need to get some T-6 ships for traits though

    I know it can't go T5U, but the Mirror Vo'Quv is a pretty beefy ship too. Also adds another science card for Admiralty. And the added bonus is any BoPs you deploy... are considered MIRROR BoPs. No actual difference other than cosmetic, but still...

    The answer to OP question is for me... whatever you prefer.
    The Slavers will steal EC, commodities and, for dilithium version, also Contraband (it was so last time i checked).
    It triggers somewhat random, and not too frequently, but it works.
    If you plan to go against big ships (like Sona or Tzenkethi Dreads, or Borg elite queues), then i think the BoPs will do better.
    Of course, you may also wait for level 50, level up New Romulus Reputation (to tier V) and go for Elite Scorpion Hangars. B)
