So many players are spending money in the c-store for Star Trek online for ship interior including myself wasting money for things do not work (Flaming, trolling comments moderated out. - BMR)
For example, on my Federation character Cheese@JSein456 I used to be able to go on the lower decks of the Origin bridge. When going in the turbolift I could bring up a menu by holding X and then I could choose an option to go somewhere else but now the menu is missing and there is no option to go anywhere. It should be easy to reproduce on any character I think...

It just plain doesn't work for Fed or KDF ships. Period. Works for Romulans, however, always. It is not a player specific issue, rather it is a system wide issue. We are talking about faction specific ships, not about cross faction ones (like Lockbox or Lobi). The faction specific should always have access to other decks.
Thank you for looking into it.
PS: @abstrusrejoinder#9208 mentioned that it was actually a design decision not to include full interiors on console :S
Apparently the turbolifts are disabled intentionally right now. My understanding is the ship interiors are using the old Lighting 1.0, which is compatible which PC but not with Console. Updating those maps with Lighting 2.0 would require a significant amount of work and the benefit of doing so wasn't enough to make it a priority task. I talked to a Producer and she is going to talk to artists and see if it can be fit into the schedule at some point.
Now, I'm curious what those interiors look like with Lighting 2.0 on PC.
If you guys are so concerned about art looking bad, then why have you left flickering and incorrectly lit objects in the game for months? This has been broken since Season 14 started, even though it was reported in the Tribble forums before Season 14.
EDIT: So I've taken a look at the Federation and Klingon ship interiors with Lighting 2.0 turned on. On Federation ships, it looks like someone dimmed the lights in some of the rooms and hallways and turned them up in others. And the reflections are stupidly high. Other than the reflections, it's not significantly worse than how some of the other maps look with Lighting 2.0.
The Klingon ship interior looks better with Lighting 2.0 than the Federation one. However, Klingon bridges look horrible now without Lighting 2.0 — they're far too bright. (Here I'm talking about the bridge itself, not the rest of the interior.) They don't look like Klingon bridges at all, unless the Klingons decided to hire J.J. Abrams as an interior decorator.
I don't really see why ship interiors were singled out. Many old maps look bad with Lighting 2.0. For example, there's the horrible blue lighting of the Federation fleet starbase.

OK, thank you for looking into it and for the detailed explanation. Hope it makes the schedule some day.

I build things. Things that make us go.

Lighting 2.0 makes many maps look worse, not just ship interiors. It's why some of us choose to keep Lighting 2.0 turned off.
