Well, i like a lot Lukari ship design. But since so far we have only seen "small ships" why don't they get a long range bigger exploration ship? Something like a science carrier (T'laru, Denuos, Sarr Theln..). It would be GREAT to use The Lukari Scout ship as frigate pet.
I would love those UFO scout ships as frigate pets!

I don't see a huge problem to make a long range exploration science carrier. And using lukari scout ships as pets makes sense.
Ok...i like lukari/kentari concept and design...so i am biased.
They're building a new colony super fast from scrap, an exploration ship is a little effort in comparison.
Or..if you prefer a more "evil approach" what about kentari tradizionalists.
If we want to justify it, we can find a "logical solution"...That's Sci-fi.
That already happened, Cryptic already held a poll for the Lukari vessels. One of the tertiary designs should be the carrier, with Scout ship frigates (is owned) and drone fighter pets.

Almost no carrier in the game really can "carry" the ships it launches. Look at Breen carriers launching frigates I've always headcanon'd that any carrier using frigates calls them in as support and escorts, only shuttles are truly "launched".

Of course, not all the Lukari feel that way. The Lukari Defence Force, under the guidance of General Rodek and the KDF would probably love some battleships (infact, there was a F.E. blogstory that said as much). That being said, if Kuumaarke was ever to be outvoted by the council and battleships commissioned, it would be fab if they were "Lukari-ish" D7s or something. I don't think they would have Kentari-esque features, as (like with the Colony) anything vaguely Kentari gets "fixed" by the Lukari and ends up looking Lukari lol.
Now a hybrid vessel that the Kentari build and helped design, I could see. But personally I kinda want to get a few of those Kentari ships that are already in game first.
At this point in the story, a carrier does make sense though. They now have a Colony on Dranuur, and while there are Na'kaams and Ho'kuuns patroling the skies above, it would make sense that they had at least a couple of larger ships to carry the scouts/cargo/colonists/gear to Dranuur. And I don't think a Lukari Cargo Vessel would be much fun for players to fly lol

Actually I always thought we could use a couple more freighter designs running around in player hands. And Im aware they're 'generic' vessels. You can see them in the foundry, and some of them are quite cool looking. I agree a larger hull makes sense as well, however full carriers are massive beasts, and its quite a leap from space doritos and cylon raiders to that
In this case, it would be more about the in-game players modifying a ship. So take design 3-A, and see if players were interested in, say, adding Nacelles, or how the Secondary Deflector is mounted, or where the launch bays were. Little things that let the community truly say "this is OUR ship"
See, in this case, it would still be "Pre-made". Or Prefabbed, at least. Unlike the "design your own" contest where everyone could submit different ideas, this would be off of ONE Homogenized idea, with the pieces being decided by popular vote. As a semi-example, using the Ho'Kuun as the base...
Week 1) Nacelles. Options- Federation dual (Long, tapering design off the center of the vessel), Federation Quad (Quad of the aforementioned), Romulan (Short, broader design, off the wingtips), None
Week 2) Secondary deflector mount. Opt- Central channel (Ship length indented section from bow to deflector) Underslung (visible segment under the ship's bow), Split (Front section of ship bisected with deflector mounted between)
Week 3) Hangar. Opts- Side-slung (mounted to either side of the center line, long bays), Rear (Single hangar off the central rear of the ship), Fore (Hangar bay running along the central line of the ship to the front)
Etc
So far...i love lukari ship design.

Ask for everything when you'd really be ok with anything 0=)
Also I meant 1 hybrid seat, so a 4 boff load out where they remove the ensign slot in favor of a extra Lt cmd that a lot of ships already do.

It's interesting, I like it but more than likely the scout shop would be frigates not the Doritos
But...i want UFO lukari scout pets..ehehe!
