night of the comet reward.. not upgradeable?

I chose the fed mk II phaser pistol mk IV, and i find it's not upgradeable.. it that as indented? is there a way of getting a low level phaser 2 that IS upgradeable?

    If your fleet has the K-13 Starbase you can purchase a MKXII Phaser thru there that can be upgraded

    no fleet. the things should be upgradeable

    Odd... I was able to get that phaser pistol up to Mk XIV on another character. Granted I got it when I was max level already so I don't see why it CAN'T be upgraded at all.

    if i remember right, it's only the IV that's not upgradeable. Play again for the VI

    You can buy white mark II versions that are upgradeable on the exchange or by using a low-level TOS captain and your account bank. Apply one medium tech upgrade and see where it goes.

    Must be the mark of the weapon. Ran two new kdf toons thru this mission recently and managed to upgrade the Klingon disruptor pistol at VI.

    It's odd that some rewards don't seem to be upgradable at any level, like the Romulan Disruptor Split Beam from Frozen.

    Huh... wonder if that detail about the Romulan Split Beam is gonna mean in increase in demand for the Nanite Disruptors as those use Romulan Disruptor models...
