Most awe inspiring Romulan ship?

I've completed most of game now and want to purchase a new ship for my Romulan character. So I'm ready for new content in the future.

I just want something massive, that inspires fear and awe in my enemies.

What would you recommend? I'm thinking the Scimitar but a bit worried about manoeuvrability.

Basically, what I'm asking is...what is the biggest ship I can get for my Romulan character? And is there any chance my Romulan aligned character could use T6 Federation ships in the future? Or is that limied to T4?

Thanks

The biggest Romulan vessels in game are the Scimitars, the D'Deridex Battlecruiser, and most formidable of all, the Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer (looks a little like Nero's ship in Star Trek (2009). The last one is 900 Lobi from the Lobi store.

D'Deridex is my favourite looking Romulan ship. When I first saw it in TNG as a kid, I was indeed in total awe.

However, I've been put off because it wasn't T6 - should I be? (I'm still a noob sorry, as you can tell, even though I've played the game loads).

If you've got money you're willing to spend, you could get the D'Khellra Warbird Battlecruiser. That's the T6 D'deridex and comes with the skin by default.

the biggest ships in game are the Ent-J th Herald ship and that new Ginormous Escort from the lockbox. one parked in front of a Scimmy and it looked like a St Bernard in front of a Chihuaua, the scaling on that this is SO far off.

There is a T6 D'Deridex, it's just got a different name. The ship you're looking for is the D'Khellra Warbird Battlecruiser mentioned by tyler above. The ship does not look like the classic D'deridex by default, but it can use the D'deridex skin so you can buy that ship and just make it a regular D'deridex like in the TV shows. It keeps all the T6 stats and uses the appearance of a D'deridex.

If you are just looking for the biggest and most imposing though, then it's definitely gotta be the Scimitar. It's one of the largest playable ships in the game and it's also one of the most powerful you can get. The Scimitar also comes at Fleet Level T6 which means it's a fully maxed out fleet level ship with 11 consoles right from the store. The D'Khellra is a base T6 ship, you would also have to purchase a Fleet Module for another 500 Zen to get it to the maximum possible level.

As for the Scimitar maneuverability, that's something you are going to have to deal with if you want a huge ship. There are however, ways to offset it, you can use an RCS Console to greatly enhance it's maneuverability. Still, it's never going to be a T'Varo or a Mogai.. it's an enormous ship and it handles like one.
    Insert witty signature line here.

When it comes to size and Romulan look (and being T6), the candidates are the Command cruisers, Scimitars, D'Deridex variants, Ha'Apax variants (including the Haakona and Kara), Valkis Temporal Heavy dreadnought and T'Laru carrier.
Last two mentioned are from Promo and lockboxes.

EDIT: Personally, I'm partial to the classic D'Deridex look and the Command cruisers.

Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

I really like the Valkis. This thing is massive, hurts a lot when properly geared and has a nice shape, a mix between a bird silhouette and a bird mask depending on which angle you look at it:

Yeah, other than the giant bird pancake, the Kara Advanced Warbird may be the largest Warbird. Turn rate is horrible, but it's been awhile since I used it, so there may be plenty of things to help that now.

Pic next to a Gal-X. Top view is a bit deceiving since its got so much vertical bulk since it's essentially 2 ships stacked on each other.

One of the Kara line has a dual vector console. It turns a lot better when separated.

+1 Valkis, if you are a divine treasurer of the great material continuum, although your enemies might find it stunning without the menacing.

Tal'Shiar ships, if you have a suitcase of latinum.

Scimitar to really inspire both fear & awe for a total steal (unless you get the 3-pack, or coerced into all 6 with fun but entirely gimmicky consoles), with Tulwar skin. With proper setup you can make it turn well enough, sliding is fun, but it's a tactical dreadnought, meant more for hit & cloak (or hit while cloaked), boss fights, planetary bio-eradication, and all that other goodness, while the little stuff, who cares, let it get handled by your drones & subordinate team mates. It's canon, Shinzon made it with Remans, has banned thalaron weapons (T5 ship console set bonus), and it's the flagship flown by the Queen/Praetor herself.

More importantly, find something that suits your playstyle. Any Romulan ship is designed to bring a swift end to those who oppose you in a multitude of ways.

Thanks for all the info and advice.

Because I am indeed a Star Trek geek, I think I'm gonna have to go for The D'Khellra....with D'Deridex skin.

I know it might not be the biggest, or the best even. BUT...it evokes such memories for me. I've always loved that ship, and realising I can get it T6 - I just have to do it.

Even though I'm in endgame, I do still consider myself a novice.

If you can give me any tips on what to buy to make this ship the best I can, I would be greatly appreciated. Looking to add a bit more manoeuvrability. And, I've always been a fan of your beams and torpedoes.

    Thanks again!

I think the Baratan class is the one to go with, because other than that loop it has in the back, it looks like the Romulan symbol.

Personally, my vote would go towards a mix of Command Cruisers - Baratan hull, with its downward hooked 'beak' echoing the D'Deridex, but Deihu wings, proud and wide-spread, soaring through space proclaiming loudly that Romulans survive and are unbroken (while at the same time, invoking hints of the classic T'Liss with the positioning and the nacelles).
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...

But what about the Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer? Its possibly one of the scariest looking most evil ships in game. Plus its MASSIVE.
