Mastery Points not gained in Kobayashi Maru

I have played the Kobayashi Maru simulation 3 times. Every time, I do not gain experience to level up my T6 starship. This is definitely a bug.

I doubt it. They don't like to have anything that could be endless give xp. Ground NPCs in Arena of Sompek also didn't give xp, and the potentially endless waves of ground NPCs in a couple of recent episodes also didn't. It looks like a feature to prevent people farming by deliberately never finishing things.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

I'm not sure if I agree.

During the last Mirror event, I was able to fully level up 2 starships. If what you're saying is true, then I can no longer play those events. I don't understand how this particular one qualifies as a loophole. The objective is to save the Kobayashi Maru. Destroying enemies is the only way to do that.

MI has a hard cap of 15 min or so. Also there is a hard cap on the number of enemies it spawns (it won't generate more that 30something portals. In the unlimited time limit of this event, if you had a team good enough, you could technically go on forever and it will keep spawning. You had people reach into the 100s in sompek for example.

On a different note, can your metrics tell us what's the highest wave achieved in Kobayashi Mary so far?

And please continue with these types of missions and events, they actually bring back the long lost challenge factor to the game.

Well then, the limited version of the mission should provide the experience then.

But not Starbase 24 Solo anymore since the UI revamp. :(
