Ridiculous alien species which you are glad haven't made it into the game?

avoozuulavoozuul Member Posts: 3,215 Arc User
At some point in any of the series shows there is always a ridiculous kind of alien which turns up and there's still a number of aliens which haven't even been added to the game yet.

One Star Trek alien species which I am glad that hasn't been added to the game is the Antedians. They look like fish wearing shower curtains and I think they are the most ridiculous alien design I have seen so far in any of the Star Trek shows.

One of the Andeteans is actually a celebrity cameo. what celebrity? Which Antedean? only way to find out is to read the credits. :p

Of races I actually legitimately didn't want to ever see again? that race from cogenitor is one.

With all the "borrowing" from Diane Duane's novels, I can't decide if I'm happy or disappointed that the Sulamid aren't here. Yet.

OTOH, I'd love to have a Horta BOff, even if I can't have one as a captain.

I actually liked the Sheliak. They were rare for TNG in being really alien.

Klingons would hate that......dueling a Horta would be pretty much impossible. It would soak up the best they could do with a bat'leth then leap on them and fry them.

Well, I knew American football had been going downhill and decadent for a while, but it seems it can be even worse in the future!

Probably. But that would make it even better.

Less shouting 'we are Klingon!' and such because they would finally realise it's not really something to be proud of :p

The Nechani from "VOY: Sacred Ground".

    http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Sacred_Ground_(episode)

Not because of who they are or anything, but I would not wanna be reminded of that episode more than necessary. THe most boring episode in all of Star Trek. Great sleeping aid though.

Planet Tuvix lies at the edge of the First Federation border. While on a routine mission to scan for crafting materials both Tuvok and Neelix were captured by an alien species. A mind probe revealed their greatest fears, and as a means of torture the infamous transporter accident which took place on Voyager nearly 30 years prior is recreated one billion times to populate a colony in Federation space. Will the billion Tuvixes get along? Will Planet Tuvix endure? Find out in Season 13.75 as your captain explores Planet Tuvix and interacts with its inhabitants to discover the first Tuvix and attempt to restore the lives of two distinct individuals. Also featuring a Tuvix lockbox, a new Tuvix faction, a Tuvix ground battle zone where you can test your mettle against thousands of Tuvixes in the new "Arena of Tuvix" survivor mode.

The Sulamid are not the spider species, are they?

No, the Sulamid are... tentacly things, if I remember right. I vaguely remember a reference to a couple aboard the Enterprise in Spock's World, but I can't track down the description.

If you're thinking of crystalline spiders, they're the Hamalki of Alpha Arietis IV.

Description of the Sulamids from Memory Beta:
A Sulamid is between two and three meters tall and resembles a bundle of tentacles, constantly moving and changing color. At the top of bundle are eight stalked eyes with triangular pupils. They possess octocameral brains, with eight separate personalities. They have a mouth hidden inside their many tentacles, with sharp teeth. The species is composed of twelve genders, all of whom insist they're male, especially the ones that bear children.
