exceptional ammount of disconnects hapening on star trek online.

i am getting a massive level of disconnects, as well as 3 other friends, 2 of which live 1 state over from me and the other lives elsewhere not sure where he lives. so we dont all live in the same area but the diconnects are increasingly prominent.
this morning alone i got disconnected had to be like 30 times now trying to do pve battles. not sure whats hapening. i have changed nothing computer wise on my part and double checked everything on my end despite others having the same issues, anyone have any usefull ideas?

I assume wired connection or WiFi? If so.. 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

Does this happen in other games?

And most important of all. Do you experience lag in the game? Such as running / ship flying lag.. Or lag when clicking buttons functions. Or is it just an instant "Disconnected from Server" or do you get the "Server not responding xx:xx:xx time" ?

I have a similar problem but I'm running wired and it specifically only happens when trying to change maps. They refuse to accept any responsibility, though.

Because it is most likely not a game issue, I haven't been disconnected in.. Hmm. A few years? And I play quite a lot.

I do get some lag now and then closer to US time zones however.

I am having the same problem. The servers seem to stop responding like every minute. Its getting to the point to trying to do a simple 5 minute mission is taking me 30 minutes to complete because of the constant disconnects

This has been happening to me since yesterday. I get the server not responding message. Other games working fine. Any ideas?

i was playing all day, on and off for 6 hours today, tonight they returned and by 1015 i was being nocked off every 5 min or less. till i gave up after 15 min. also its intermittent. some days i can be fine, and some days half the day is ok and the 2nd half is met with massive disconnects or rubber banding. and, it only just started a few updates ago. so something changed but i know its not my end, esp since if it was the problem would be constant and it isnt.

im having same issues, also i can get character screen to load but once a character is selected they dont load and the play button is fade out so i have to either sit and wait or close the game and reload the entire thing, lots of rubberbanding going on since yesterday

im in the uk, also when i finally get a character to start loading it just sits on the loading screen not frozen just sat trying to load

I'm also in the UK, currently experiencing the same problems as jordan3550 - spent about a quarter of an hour just trying to log in this morning! I got as far as a loading screen saying 98.17% one time, before being timed out. (Hard to say if this is a game problem, of course, or some random Internet connectivity thing.)

I've been having this issue a lot lately , and to top it off I'm right at the end of the last iconian mission and can just get into the talking then it stops responding and disconnects, I'm on a wired Ethernet connection with 192 Mbps download speed and 12 Mbps upload, so it can not all be put down to WI-Fi signal strength or interference

i know of 2 friends who live in the next state from me who has the problem intermittent from me, they live 2 hours away and they are not on the same isp as i am at all. and they still have the problem, another in the fleet i belong in is also having the problem intermittently. i went thru all the connections on my end anyway but i cant see anything that mysteriously changed on its own in recent weeks to cause this to happen.

for those who want an idea, one thing i have tried and this isnt the 2nd time, i tried this but get completely out of the game literally terminate arc / sign out, and restart from scratch i did that tonight and the disconnects stopped till i shut down 30 min later for the night and previous to that it was ditzing me every 30 seconds to a minute.

this is a traceroute to the patch server, which they had asked me to do the last time i had a issue, well i have done this multiple times today and every time i did it hop 13 failed completely. hrm, whats in hop 13 thats causing me issues. whoops, probably an issue that needs to be corrected. ok cryptic, here ya go. heres your chance to fix the issue. the source location is northern new england that is where i am located.

i have since tried the above on 5 diff computers every computer ends the same way in the last 4 lines, with one of the final hops failing before reaching the final destination. that cant be a coincidence, come on cryptic, you have a problem somewhere, go find it.

well i dont know what you guys did in the maintenance but tonight as of 2 hours ago i have disconnected almost non stop, i got off for 30 min and came back at 930 and i have disonnected soooo much in less than 20 min disconnected almost 20 times in 20 min, i cant even talk to the guy in the fleet to update him on what i have been doing with the holdings, well, i dont know what the hell you guys are doing in cryptic but this is getting out of hand this began almost 4 wks ago some nights are horrid like tonight and some arent, dont you think its time you fixed your problem and yes i already checked i dont have a problem, i can go to websites and other games without getting disconnects only your game, also i can be on your game for almost 5 hours straight in the afternoon with 0 disocnnects, take a 2 hours break around suppertime get back on after 8 and wham, heres the disconnects, ok, so we only know it is hapening after 5pm your time at night, thru at least 7pm your time, which is 11 mine and i go to bed, dont you think its high time you started fixing this stuff before it gets even more out of hand than it has, next if forums posting doesnt work i will go after the service dept, who i already know cant do anything at all to fix anything. been there done that.
