i contacted support and made a suggestion. about pvp IE breaking up pvp into classes. and they said i should bring it up in the form, so here i am. What i mean about breaking pvp up into classes.
Is you have open class elite which is what we have now, then a pvp for excorts only, cruises only, science vessels only and dreadnoughts only. why because some of the best games i have had in pvp was when there was only cruises or dreadnoughts and all beams. When there is some one who has maxed out cannons and and is a speed junkie it makes the game boring, the more people comment to this post the more chance we have of getting pvp changed.
if you have your own ideas about pvp please make them known thanks

I thought PvP was about kicking everyone's TRIBBLE. Or at least trying to survive.
I think there needs to be more consideration in the way these "brackets" are set up.

*The other reason being that they don't actually want a challenge.

Well I wouldn't say they "Never pop"... It does when enough of them wanna play or can drag in a casual pvper like meself..
Im not sure what "broken pay-to-win cheese" is being exploited these days..I know some dont like the increase damage of the Shield refrequencers but others (like SOB), those consoles dont really hurt..
Thanks to the likes of SOB and uh Spencer..They've done videos on getting defensive stats up (I can run around 100%-150% in my sci ships) & with the competitive engines I can chase the escorts..or a least get out of their firing arcs more often...

Limiting a captain in a T1 match to only items and traits which a level 10 captain could use, (for that match only,) would only require an update of the existing Level Matching feature which was abandoned when passive reputation traits became a thing. It would allow PvP training by experienced captains who wouldn't have access to the long list of powers the noob or new character lacks.
Power creep ate PvP. Reign it in with Level Matching and PvP could be fun again. So long as the player new to PvP runs head first into guys who have seven years of passives, traits, and elite gear, he will never have a good PvP experience, and he will never spend the time and effort required to become a moderately successful PvP player.
How does this make the game boring? I love flying this class of ship. To me there's nothing more boring than flying some huge ship that takes 3 days to turn around, that can only fire at something by using FAW. But I would not deprive anyone of flying the ship they want in pvp. That is part of the challenge - being able to take someone down when you are outclassed.
What you propose is what would make PvP boring - having only ships of the same type in a match? Why?
I suppose they made some effort with the new Competitive Queues to change things up a bit. And I actually enjoy it when I play it.
But seems PvP is always going to be regulated as low priority. And since T6 Trait ships have been released, I as well as many others have lost interest in the activity.
It just became too convoluted with Traits and Specialization (at least imo).
There's an old saying; Keep it Simple Stupid.
They didn't keep it simple and PvP has really suffered ever since Delta Rising (which introduced T6 trait ships and specializations) It pretty much decimated the once strong and robust pvp community overnight.
Was a sad thing to see. Watching many old friends give up and leave.
That said, I still wouldn't mind seeing "Stockcar/Stockship" PvP.. Preloaded ships, with traits disabled.
But I'm not holding my breath on that one...
I'm sure @patrickngo can enlighten you on the struggle.
There is a reason they were player organised.
I think the cheese is still the one hit kill vape builds.
I don't want to go in and get oneshot. I want a battle. Being constantly oneshot is not fun for me. And neither is the guy DOING the oneshotting throwing out insults about my "lack of skill" when I can't even REACT before I explode.
