It's an Elite, and now plays like a proper Elite. Elites are supposed to be geared towards high-end, coordinated teams. Would you PUG a Hive Onslaught Elite?
Yes, I would because I am no federat coward. :] Seriously though, it used to be doable in the past with pugs (minus Benthans and an uncoordinated pug) but not anymore so then the argument is go do it with a premade, snowflake. To which I respond, another fragmentation of the player base is not good.
It used to be doable in a PUG because it used to be no more difficult than an advanced queue. When they normalized NPC scaling in S13, Korfez finally became at par with the other Elites. This is how it should be in my opinion. It's a proper challenge now and that's a good thing.
If anything, I'd wish they'd make a normal and advanced version of this for others to play with.
Yeah there is a much better challenge here since you have to think unlike the pew/pew Kobi event. There should be more of a challenge to just clicky here and there IMO
Comparing the Kobi event to Korfez is apples to oranges. Korfez is one of the only available space elites to earn salvaged tech and even though some may have considered it easy, I was willing to spend 20-30 min for a salvage tech.
You get salvage tech in all space maps when running them in elite difficulty.

I feel you. The public PvE situation is rather dull, especially for elite. In my experience those who want to run them can’t and those who can run them don’t want to. I suppose that the result when one designs time gated content and puts hard DPS checks into them. Nevertheless having elite labeled maps around that aren’t elite is not fair compared those maps that are.
My suggestion to you it to go private or semi-private. My fleets, friendliest, the Metal League and The Science Channel for example give me well rounded opportunity to get most maps to run. Join them and play with us.

fair enough, i vote to add normal and advanced maps for korfez so at least new to 60 players can learn it.
Hey there, I think you wrote me an in game mail yesterday but I was a bit busy.
Best bet to get a Fez running would be the TSC. The run you see in the Video above was made there. That’s how you get in:
1. Type „/channel_join The Science Channel“ into your chatbox (without the quotation marks, obviously)
2. Press Esc button, choose Chat Settings, Channels tab and write The Science Channel into the Join/Create box, then press Join.
Joining the STO League is a tiny bit trickier. For that one needs to download the CLR parsing tool and manage 10k DPS on the map ISA. If you upload that parse Felisean or one of the other admins will invite you within two days. As an alternative I could also parse an ISA run for you and submit. In this league's chat you get help and advice from the best players in game.
When I get home I can also invite you to the chat of my own PvE community “Voice of OC”. You won’t face many rules or obligations there. Still, let me be honest. Fez matches form rarely as my folks prefer to raid content that is either topical or offers more lucrative time/reward ratios. Team leaders also select content depending on the skill level of the respective team. Nevertheless in good teams we cut through all maps like buttah.
Hope this helps.

That's not a reason to make it as easy as it was again though.
