Came back to see the state of things recently, have been playing for 2 weeks after having quit for about 3 years.
Every step of the way the past 2 weeks I have been gradually becoming more disgusted with this company's business practices, especially their whale-hunting cash shop and having been slapped with a week-long account binding of Zen I bought for the CRIME of paying through Steam despite my 7 year long purchase history with PW, and now the insulting Dilithium ore event, it's clear PW is fighting its customers as much as possible rather than working to make the game a good place to be.
I am considering quitting again, but for now I'll simply glue shut my wallet, I already filed my complaint to Steam to hopefully get Valve to look at PW's tactics to strong-arm people to buy Zen from their inferior currency conversion (that benefits them rather than the customer)
And seeing the above replies I guess nobody is more in a rush to see this game die than the community itself.

Go try some other MMOs out there, you will come running back soon enough
Because, unless you are ready to throw out some heavy real money around, all MMOs are "balanced" so players strat cry, or buy some "boosters"/high level gear and such...
The STO is the only one MMO i found, that you can get almost anything by pure grind and patience...
Been playing for 6 years I'm not going anywhere. BTW, if your half smart you can get everything in the game without paying a dime, and this is the only MMO I've ever played where thats possible.
Agreed.
