There are currently 2 Scramble Fighter Traits left in the Exchange, both in the hundreds of millions in EC price and when those are gone there will be none.
So I hope they bring back the contest that granted scramble fighters.

Pretty sure they are still available via Infinity Lockbox. Its just that until now, combat pets have been pretty much useless since they died so easily.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Uh, they're not Infinity box. Scramble Fighters, along with Delta Prime, come from the Delta doff pack which is still on sale as far as I know. The bigger change to the trait is that fighters are now counted in the immunity lockout, but the damage and durability changes mean they survive a lot longer even without constant immunity.
The two mentioned above plus Point Defense Protocols.

Scramble Fighters seems to be bugged - if you spam the refresh key on 2 hangar ships if either one is one CD it wont grant the immunity. It does still grant the dmg and heal, but the immunity only grants if both hangars are off cooldown.
They are still available, but since the ship promos now go through R&D packs, few people buy doffpacks anymore. That's why the traits have got so rare.
Now with the Infinity R&D Promotions, you may just find Promotions just sticking to R&D Packs from now on.
What was it about 1:100 or so, if I recall correctly.

Scramble fighters comes from the Delta Alliance Doff pack which is available in the C-Store so congrats, OP.
Does anyone know the drop rate for that trait?
I got lucky and it dropped on the fourth or so pack. Then I later opened about 200 infinity boxes and never got a T6 drop.
Needless to say, I have an extremely low opinion of the way STO delivers content like this. Especially all the time gating and event locked items no one is allowed to ever obtain again, even on new alts. It's ridiculous.
But it's not going to change. It's not a priority for them internally, as they never think about such things, and even if they wanted to change it, it's so tied into Cryptic's global policies for their brands that they'd probably get in trouble for even suggesting alternative ways of obtaining such things.
Yeah I find I hate the gambling system, I'm just going to do without for now until better opportunities open up.

Well depending on the price of the DOff Pack... Could potentially get at least one every few days via DL Exchange. Although the problem of space of all those DOffs comes up.

About 18,000,000ec per pack on the exchange I checked. At 1/100 odds that's like 180,000,000ec and even then it's not certain. And it's not like lock boxes where you get lobi and something descent at least from each pack, the rest of the prizes are TRIBBLE aside from from the traits. It's just not worth it until they do another even that actually makes doff packs even remotely worth it. They haven't done one in awhile, they are due.

No I meant the R&D Pack. My question whether that was the price for the Pack by itself or with the Promotion! Wrapper around it. The item with the Wrapper would be listed as Promotion! on the Exchange.
I know that it was expensive on the Exchange but never in the realm of Attack Pattern Delta Prime. That was in the 300+ Million EC range. I guess with the Season 13 Pet changes the Ferengi figured it would be worth more.

Remind me, what is Scramble Fighters?
"Ex Astres Per Aspera"
"To the Stars, despite adversity"
Starship Trait available from Delta Alliance Doff Packs as a special prize. The drop rate is low and so they are very expensive on the Exchange. There must have been a run on them with the Season 13 changes to Pets.
Its effects are:
May only activate on the use of the Launch Hangar Pet Command. Cooldown in 20 sec when not reduced by Flight Deck Officer duty officers. * All Hangar Pets gain: * Immunity to damage for 5 seconds. * +25% Damage for 5 seconds * Restores 50% of Max Hull

I'll consider the escort doffs, thanks for the advice, still long term goal is for scramble fighters, they will eventually have a special Delta alliance promotion again and the prices will drop.

Excellent question.
And thanks to those who pointed out it's still possible to get those doff packs.
What is more effient, saving up 400 million ec or buying a bunch of the Delta alliance packs?
