What the propose of makeing a set when can only equip 1 at a time?

  It means you can't equip two solanae deflectors, two solanae engines, or two solanae shields. But you CAN equip one solanae deflector, one solanae engine, and one solanae shield.
  
  All sets say that, it's for people who would mistakenly believe they can put in to deflectors, engines, or shields.

  Only makes sense for the weapon sets since we can only have more than one console and weapon.

  Duh, it's one set per ship. You can have all your ships outfitted with the same set if you want. If you want the visual for the solonae set, just equip it like normal. If you want the visual for the Borg set, but like the Dyson set, just put the Borg set in the visual slots. not really that complicated.
