What can I do with the air guitar emote I used an uncommon phoenix prize voucher for?

I tried typing it into the chat window, but it didn't immitate playing a guitar. What am I doing wrong?

    In your chat window, there is an icon for emotes. You can pin it to access all the emotes, including air guitar.

    They need to add an air electric organ emote for the First Contact event next year

    I doubt it. Only true experts can play the air guitar. If you can't produce sound with your air guitar, then it is only a pale imitation. I suspect that true experts move their fingers so fast that they create sonic booms. Air vibrations could be another method, but that seems a lot more difficult than sonic booms.
