How about a EVsuit slot?

Not sure if i am the only person. But i wish there was a EVsuit slot. I mean sure i have a good amount of inventory slots. But i don't want to break a two sometimes 3 set to use a evsuit when i have to. There are those that suggest just get one of those nukura sets. It is a RP thing but it would make sense to have the evsuit always at the ready.

What was that dude from the future that make the tox something something. he didn't even need a suit all it was is a force field to the face man. Anyway. May suggestion is.

The slot would be right next to body armor slot. when equiped you have that little menu that allows you to activate and put on the suit and also take off the suit. As for stats. i would belive that when you activated the suit all the evsuit applies but would all the 2 or 3 set bonus to stay in place. now you are asking what if you have two evsuits one in body armor and one in the evsuit slot. then no change set bonus don't change but the armor with the higher stats would take over but the visual would change according to the suit you have in the evsuit slot. So i like the nukura set with that sword but i have the visual. i want to equip the with with the gold trim for the ferengi mine but the stats ok but really not ment for battle. problem solved you look good and you can have some set bonuses.

Also solves that issue of what to do with those evsuits that some of us bought and did not use. Hope someone can implement something like that. i mean if we can add visuals to our ships what not make something practical that we can use on the ground.

Generally, by the time you have a need to keep EV suits handy, you also have plenty of BOFF slots. The four BOFFS you take on your away team are the only ones that need weapons, shields and armor .... or devices for that matter.

What this means is that every BOFF other than the four on your away team, is a free, and readily available, storage space for a complete set of armor, shield, weapon and 4 types of device that does not use up any inventory slots. Thus, you will always have an RV suit ready to put on.

As for the rest, it sounds like a case of wanting to have your cake and eat it too if I'm understanding it all right. You want to be able to wear your armor AND have the EV suit on at the same time. Sorry, it's not designed that way. Both the armor and the EV suits were designed to be worn over a standard uniform. The armor is not made to fit over the bulk of an EV suit, and the EV suit is not made to fit over the bulk of armor. It is known that combat can and does occur in conditions which require environmental protection. That is why engineers have designed EV suits which also provide some degree of "armor" protection, however, due to space, weight and even materials, a suit designed to provide EV protection can not be made to provide as much combat protection as a dedicated combat armor.

Some races, such as the Voth, have gotten around that by opting for using mech suits, providing EV protection AND heavy combat armor all in one, and somewhere within all the official (canon) ST lore, there might be a Fed/Kdf and Rom version of a mech suit. Of course you would still have to make a choice between using the mech suit and having whatever stats/bonuses it provides, or wearing a specific armor piece and having it's stats/bonuses as the mech suits are/were not designed to be used (worn) by someone wearing armor.

    LTS and loving it.

this completely and unnecessarily long-winded post withstanding, yes we need them. Having to free up inventory spots just to use something I will only use on that mission is stupid.

Personally I'd prefer to see an EV suit slot.
Rummaging through inventory to equip it and when finished finding my old armour again to put back on is just more fiddly than it needs to be.
Equip both, when activating EV suit, EV suit stats take place of normal armour stats and "puts on" the EV suit visually. Deactivating suit simply does the reverse.

In those few sentence you basically summarize what i wanted to say but i had to justify my reasons. Good job. I was over thinking my original post.
