If you fail a Red Alert is is still supposed to go on Cooldown?
I also noticed today that the Borg Command Pickle seemed to be generating quite a bit more Spheres and Probes than it had.

Tholians? Yeah, been there, done that...
You might be able to change map instances if it's not looking so hot.
Can't remember if you can leave an Alert and requeue for it or not.
People still play red alerts after they removed the bonus XP from them?
Sure do... good place for marks when other STFs have no one in them.

Decent for quick xp as well. Could be better.
Also only place to finish the attached accolades when required, etc.
as for the CD timer, that pretty much goes on regardless of win/loss on anything that has a CD timer
Agreed. In the 50s that is where all the characters I run go to fill out their reps.
Never failed the Borg one, but I have failed the tholian one when equipped with mostly looted gear and in a team made up of the same. I've stopped using it for the purpose as a result.

Yes, Cooldown applies still. And The RA's aren't hard enough (Yes, yes.....I'm a s.adist!)
Though the fake queue nonsense is still effin annoying.
Since almost all of the queues are dead, they give people the opportunity to do something and gain some marks slowly .
There are even the Lukari marks, which are the new present marks right now.
Mastery-wise, Borg is good, Tholian is TRIBBLE .

When every ship comes after you because you did something stupid like turn on your agro mods, then yeah, you can fail the Tholian one. Usually, it's because I got stuck in a couple of webs and can't friggin get a lock on the Nodes in time. Happens enough, and it's a fail on the instance. Forget what the requirements are for the fail, just remember that I ended up with it. At least once. Ever since, I turn off my agro when doing that one.
Borg? Not really, unless I do something stupid or get eaten by the Lag monster. Line it up. click the little red button and fly on to the next target.
oh... you should probably carry at least one or two high-grade ship summon skills... Just in case you need to distract other enemy's while you focus on your targets. Just a suggestion, in case you find yourself running solo.

This right here, it's a nice quick way to get mark bonuses for less played STFs as well as fleet marks if you want.

Or at least it used to be. I haven't actually seen it live long enough to spawn more than a few regular probes in years.
There was a bug for a while where the end would sometimes spawn 2 command ships instead of one.. now THAT was fun!
I actually kinda wish that bug would re-surface.
As long as it doesn't bring along with it the bug that would spawn 0 command ships, sure.
