Tzenkethi Battlezone Still bugged

horizons2052horizons2052 Member Posts: 184 Arc User
The Tzenkethi Battlezone is still bugged. I have not yet checked ALL instances, but in the one I was just in the center area is impossible to complete.

So while the zone way spawn enemies now, it is still impossible to actually complete. So even after the patch this content is still not useable.

We still only have three quarters of the content they promised us.

I was really looking forward to the new battlezone, to me, they are the best things about this game. I am very disappointed it is malfunctioning.

I have made the same observation. It is impossible to complete.

Seems to be back to how it was during the Tribble test event, where the map status doesn't actually match what's going on in a node. In just one circuit of all the nodes in an instance, I actually saw none that were the same status the map said they were. While sitting at a king of the hill node, I occasionally got random completion packs even though it was still in progress, or had been sitting completed for some time.

What? You mean a bug that was reported on Tribble during testing made it to live making a good portion of the episode unplayable? That NEVER happens with these oh so competent devs in STO. I mean I've never, ever, EVER heard of that happening before. /sarcasm. Makes you wonder why we even bother with Tribble doesn't it, if many of the reported bugs are still going to go live anyway.

Anyway I can confirm that this is also the case, even after the most recent "fix". I know I'm shocked too.

In a way the BZ is still bugged. I got the invisible wall in one of the points that needed to be captured. There are times that the Tzenkethi ships are just too OP at times. Capture one point / territory and head to the next one only to have that captured point taken away from you after capping the other all because they respawn too quickly at the capped point.

The real problem is that there aren't enough players to cap all the points. In one of the instances we organized in couple of groups of 3 to 5 players. Each group attacking a separate territory. After taking it, we went to the next one, capped it only to check the map to see two of the three points that we capped taken away from us by the Tzenkethi. Even though we got the marks for capping the points we still couldn't cap the entire map. After 2 hours of that endless back and forth madness I finally gave up and probably some of the other players as well.

Who's in charge of your QA, Cryptic? Because, they're doing a HORRIBLE job.

Yes, still bugged. Had 6 ships sitting in a capture spot in center if that's the one you are talking about. The counter goes in reverse with no enemies there. So it never will reach 100%. So zone still can't complete.

It takes 3 about ships to guard the center. Just need to worry about capping the zones around it. Now those zones are difficult to protect after you capped them. Because if you're protecting the zone all by yourself, you're screwed. Especially when there are more than one tzenkethi cruiser spawns there. Now those cruisers are OP

Can we get this fixed already? The whole zone is like... the fringe areas work okay but none of the King Of The Hill areas work at all. It's annoying. And it means there's no way to get the special faction specific item for making stuff outside of the Queue missions.

    Blah.

I can confirm every instance I've been in, this is bugged pretty hard.

Tried a run today (after the update), the zone was impossible to complete. We'd be at 1 or 2 territories left to capture when another would spontaneously flip to "enemy controlled" in actual fact but "contested" on the map display. No warning, just another thing to recapture in full. I tried playing defense but there was absolutely no chance to stop territories from flipping. Basically, it's still a mess. I can't comment on whether the zone rewards elite marks because even with no shortage of competently equipped, team oriented people in the zone we never got to the boss wave by the time I threw in the towel.

Quite anoying and frustrating, I was guarding one of the blocades when suddenly a float of ships spawned and the zone inmediatly got a reset, no warnings, no time to stop that, not even a chance. That´s when I just closed the game and went to do something else.

I just played a full instance of the battle zone from start to finish today and after killing the dreads, I once again wasn't awarded elite marks.

Still no protomatter thingies. Oh well, it'll get fixed at some point hopefully.

This is beyond frustrating. Two hours of back and forth and getting creamed when trying to defend an area alone. Don't know if it's bugged but as I said, beyond frustrating.

This battlezone is still a mess. The broken contested states and immediate zone reset are what ruins an otherwise nice battlezone.

Indeed, it's a sick joke that the capture points are near impossible to hold without somebody constantly sitting in it to prevent the recapture. Even that is not a guarantee to keep it from falling again.

I got to experience a very frustrating example:

I headed to a zone getting contested, I took down all the ships except one that was nevertheless engaged. Just when I was getting it below 50% HP, I got informed the area was captured anyway.

Seriously, the reset and capture mechanisms are broken and the only way you can get to the boss phase is through luck (and having players with great DPS to vaporize the Tzenkethi as soon as they show up).

What I think may be happening is that the zones are triggering to the wrong contested state. Ideally you have Controlled->Contested (enemy attempting to recapture.) Instead, it's Controlled->Contested (allies attempting to capture). So as soon as enemy ships would normally spawn in to begin the attempt at retaking a point, it's completely reset to the initial point of the original capture process.

Incidentally, tried again today. We got to the final point, but before we could make much headway we lost 3 points within the span of about a minute. I was watching the map. They just flashed from "allied controlled" to "allies attempting to capture" (with zero progress.)

I still haven't seen any protomatter microcontainers when you successfully completed the battlezone. You would think after so many bugs and reports from players this would be fixed. I think this is never going to be fixed....*sigh

I completed the battlezone 3 times (all 3 dreadnoughts destroyed) and only once I received 3 protomatter microcontainers. Cryptic needs to fix this fast, before players lose interest.

lol I cannot count how many times bugs were reported in tribble, but nothing gets changed before release. Alas "Tribble = Holodeck" is the norm. Unless it involves a dilithium exploit or somesuch.

Twice now I've completed the entire tzenkethi battle zone and defeated the boss ships to get no rewards at all. I didn't get the 3 protomatter microcontainers or marks for the effort.
