Am I the only one that can't get the free ships for my characters that are below lvl50. I can get all the other ships I've bought from the C-store, I/you just can't use them until I've/you've gotten to that tier. I just looked at the STO news release again and there was nothing about what tier you had to be to receive them. Bug or no Bug? please enlighten me.

    Like with all C-store ships (not just giveaway ones) you can only claim those that match your rank.

    I don't know your character's level, but the giveaway lasts until tomorrow so there a bit over 24 hours left to level them further.

    Yes. but, I can claim the ones that I have bought by my Lvl60 characters, with my lvl 20 characters. I just can't open them until I reach that lvl. The below lvl 50 chars. can't even claim the giveaways . And no I can't level them, out of the five chars. that are below lvl 50, the highest is lvl 37.

    Ships that come in boxes which can't be opened until 50 or 60 are a somewhat new thing, though. Most cstore ships are directly claimed and added tot he characters ship inventory which is impossible when the level doesn't match. It's a weird system and separating "unlocking" and "claiming" would be preferable in my opinion, but this is working as intented in this case.​​

    T'Varo, Avenger and B'Rel, like most of the older C-Store ships, don't come in boxes when claimed but go directly to your ship list. Beacuse of that, you cannot claim them until they can be used.

    I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter whether a ship comes in a box or not. The Vesta for example comes in a box, and it can only be claimed at level 50.

    Anyway, what Azrael said is correct OP. If you just level 1 character of each faction to level 50, you should be fine. No need to worry with all of your characters, the other ones can claim the ships at a later point, provided that you have claimed the ships on at least one character within the next 24 hours.

    I can verify this. The reason most likely is avoid 'faction' issues between KDF and FED Roms.

    Thank you all very much for your feedback. It is weird how some ships comes in a box but the others don't. Guess I'll take that lvl 37 and get a move on.

    Well, it isn't an "account wide" unlock for me, just got my #2 Klingon up to level 50-12 hours after event ended, B'rel Bird of Prey costs zen again.

    I was curious about this because my Rom toon's ship not only came in a box, but I could [re-]claim it over and over again on that same character....not that I really wanted to, but it was something I noticed.

    That's odd. I've only got one KDF at the moment so couldn't check there specifically, but I did see the ship as being claimable when I looked under the other factions (even though I couldn't actually claim the ship because of being the "wrong" faction).
