For the love of God Cryptic why can't you fix the random warp out / warp in of my ship. Seriously immersion breaking bug that has been around since what forever? Damn I can't even remember a time when it wasn't around at this point. Of course the new BZ has other issues too like nodes not completing King Of The Hill, etc so no way to finish the BZ or progress it to the point of getting to the final boss. So glad patch notes said you fixed final boss bug but now we can't even get to it.
Is money all you guys care about?

It's not actually warping out, the camera just seems to go into warp in mode randomly, which has the effect of throwing your ship off screen for a second then slowly panning back to it, I see it happen everywhere: missions, red alerts, queues, etc

It's some kind of client side camera issue, you wouldn't know if anyone you're grouping with experienced it unless they told you, I find it only mildly annoying so I generally just ignore it

Deny it all you want, but it's very real.
It happens to me constantly. If you say it doesn't effect you then fine.. but I assure you, it's quite real and I'm quite sick of it.
Same here. I also still experience power tray resets and traits dropping now and then. And let's not even consider how poorly the PET commands and AI work.
STO- where bugs are immortal.
I wonder if it could be linked to a camera setting

it happens to me mostly when I'm using cannons, mostly when I get a really good attack run. makes me think it has something to do with sudden spikes in dps. on both pc and xbox.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
Yup, it has also happened to me too, on a few occasions.
Not sure what causes it. Could be traits, boff powers, npc's interacting with us or a combination of all three..
I've never touched my camera settings so who knows. It just feels like some skill/trait/power interaction at some specific time that triggers it. Sort of along the same lines as when you're at high impulse and you're starting to cycle your stuff and one of them (have never paid attention to which damn one it is), drops you out of high impulse with an "you're under attack" message.. which you're not cause you're not in range of anyone yet lol.
Could be but I thought it was maybe before that. Funny thing is that it almost "feels" like some sort of temporal "rewind".
Other thing I know for sure is that it only happens on my more established toons. i.e. lots of spec points assigned, all the reps done, using those sorts of traits/skills etc. But if I'm using some lower level toon, I haven't got it that I can remember at least.
I was actually thinking if it was something to do with the Temporal spec tree?
Don't think I've assigned any points to that one.
xbox doesn't have aoy yet. and I've had it happen on ships that haven't unlocked reps yet. I'm starting to think this bug is more then one bug that happens to look alot alike. if so we may never get rid of it.

Happens on all my characters (including both my launch day main and my AoY alt), and only one has any reps maxed (omega and delta), and none of my characters have any specs maxed, the spec points I do have are only used in Intel and pilot if that matters.

Definitely sounds like it's linked to either a trait, skill, or setting if it eventually stopped. None of my toons use the same ship traits, for rep traits most are limited to the first omega and delta traits.
Skills that I use on all characters include all the career based "team" skills, beam overload, fire at will, ep2w, attack pattern omega, polarize hull plating, and hazard emitters. My specs are also always pilot and Intel, though neither are maxed on any toon. If it's skill or trait based, it should be related to one of those.

Yep, I never saw this until the AOY update.
Sometimes it hardly ever happens, then other days.. like yesterday, it happens almost non stop. Every zone I enter, rather it's a BZ, Red Alert, whatever.. my ship constantly disappears off the screen then just 'warps back in' off the left edge of the screen. During this time, my weapons stop firing and I seem to be immune to damage, but it messes up my rotations and screws up my cooldowns. It's quite annoying and it's insanely ridiculous that it still hasn't been addressed.
The game has been this way since the start of closed beta in 2009. If you need an in game explanation, hey the camera is having issues picking up the light from your ship as you come out of warp.
PWE ARC Drone says: "Your STO forum community as you have known it is ended...Display names are irrelevant...Any further sense of community is irrelevant...Resistance is futile...You will be assimilated..."
I don't recall ever hearing about this issue until AOY. I know I personally never experienced it before that.
It's possible we're talking about two different issues here, but the 'warp out' issue started after AOY.
@seaofsorrows yeah I understand the frustration with cooldowns and skill rotation. This bug his me frequently and it really throws me off. It's disappointing that it hasn't been fixed yet.
I was encountering it on a brand new character without any spent spec points and very few traits.
It's evil. And I agree, appeared after AoY.
