From the Release Notes from Today:
Added audio to the new accolades which are rewarded when flying through the new sections of the Alpha

I first want to say I love these! Hearing these from a First time Captain provides the same level of Giddy Goosebumps as hearing them from Spock, plus Kipleigh Kills it!

I'm not sure what sectors are supposed to have voiceover, so I visited them all.

    VO for sectors is based on sector blocks (collections of sectors in an area), not on individual sectors.

    To be honest.... with the Release of the Sector Space Revamp, now that we have 3 Distinct Maps for Each Quadrant, there really isn't a need for Sector Blocks. It should just be the Sectors within the Quadrant. Sector Blocks Served a Purpose in the Old Mapping Style, but since Each Quandrant is just a Large Block of Sectors it doesn't really work anymore. They really should be removed all together.

    I see the allure of keeping them so we can keep Nimoys Voiceover, but it really doesn't make much sense anymore and they just confuse people even more. Especially since the Shape of each "Sector Block" is rather random and just looks like a Bad Case of Gerrymandering.

    I have to agree with this. Those of us who have been around since the old map can roughly guess where the sector blocks that used to be are now, with the new system, I have literally no idea what these new sector blocks are. And to a new player, a sector block doesn't exist. There are just Quadrants and Sectors.

    Sorry, Heinig, its a depreciated concept that should just be jettisoned as far as something like this goes.

    That being said, it would be nice to see the Sector Blocks.

    There are non-obvious legacy data reasons for this. Not to mention that it would be tedious to write all-new text for every sector, and impossible to get additional VO for every sector in the game.

    Don't doubt that one bit. But its going to be less understandable from a player's perspective. At the very least, we do need to see what the borders of each sector block is. At the very least for Doffing purposes (one of those legacy reasons, that will at least be obvious to us).

    Kuumaarke's logs still say "[Mission summary text missing]". You fixed the audio, but you forgot about the text. Also, when I entered the Deneb Sector for the first time, I heard Spock and Kuumaarke's voices playing over each other; I crossed over from the Vulcan Sector.
    Don't doubt that one bit. But its going to be less understandable from a player's perspective. At the very least, we do need to see what the borders of each sector block is. At the very least for Doffing purposes (one of those legacy reasons, that will at least be obvious to us).

    I agree that it would be nice to able to see the sector blocks for the purposes of doffing. But a larger priority is getting them to work correctly in the first place. The sector borders have never been right since sector space was revamped in Season 10, even though the bugs were reported on Tribble a month before release. Here is a recent thread on the issue:
