Dilithium exchange not moving

Anyone guess whether this is the devs doing this or players? It's on Xbox one and you basically can't trade because the prices are locked. It almost looks like there is a ten spread now, but it doesn't last before someone pounced, and won't let you make anything.
Don't think Harley, just shoot dammit.

It only shows 5 points each on the buy and sell screens on PC, so that sounds right. It sounds like XB1's Dil economy has stabilized, so you'll have to wait for a disruption to be able to move things more than 1 point each cycle if it's anything like PC. A disruption could be, as examples, a new lockbox, ship release, ship sale, Dil event, and/or new Dil sink (like a new Fleet Holding or a Upgrade event).

Should just be players. I've not seen the devs do anything close to 'locking' the Dil-Ex to a value. They can disable it's function entirely, but pretty much they just manipulate it indirectly with sales and such being external pressures on Dil/Zen values.

I find that surprising as well. There's lots of news that should make the dilithium exchange price go up. We are 9 days away from a new season and lockbox, AND the NX-refit and T6 Vesta bundle are soon to be released as well. But the exchange price even went down by 5-6 points.

I feel there is the strongest pressure down right now with fleets getting to the end of the K13. Also this market tends to explode on actual announcements of the shinies so expect 30-50 point pop when they start coming I guess next week.

Yeah, it had bounced back from the 270s to around the 330s after the Phoenix Prize Pack Event went away. But it has since dropped down to around the 300s again.

Also don't forget the new Infinity this week that will include the Kelvin Lockbox contents and perhaps the T6 Elachi ships.

As far as the certainty on the NX refit and T6 Vesta Bundle, don't forget the T6 Fesarius if we are prone to wishful thinking. :)

The NX-Refit (T6) is a certainty. A picture of it was published on massivelyop as part of the Season 12 announcement.

The Vesta T6 pack is coming as well. Maybe not at the same time as the NX-refit but it's clearly shown on this art rendering and people who should know have stronly hinted in that direction as well.

Yeah... on the PC the Dilthium Exchange is pretty stable at below 300:1 for the moment. I know it went as low as 290 this past Sunday night / Monday morning because I had some dilithum in the Exchange listed for that exchange rate and I got the Zen for it.

I too have been surprised that it's remained around 300:1, I was fully expecting it to slowly climb when the Phoenix event finished yet that hasn't happened.

My own working theory as to why it hasn't skyrocketed yet is that most players have already bought from the Zen store all the stuff they're currently interested in- given that the new season is right around the corner it's no surprise that players are going to be holding off on buying new stuff.

Thanks to the rate being the best it's been in years and the number of recent sales it's not hard to see why current demand has dropped. Expect to see things rise sharply with the launch of season 12- it's for this reason that I've been converting practically non-stop. With ten active toons it's a constant juggling act! :D

After the Phoenix event the exchange rate was something like 330:1, but then again there were promotions going on like the Infinity R&D Pack Promotion. Since that has ended there has not been much of an incentive for players to buy stuff from the C-Store. Therefore, there has not been much of a demand for Zen. There was a R&D sale after that ended, but it was just for normal R&D packs.

Right now is a good time for players who want Zen to start putting their refined Dil on the Exchange.

When all the new stuff hits Holodeck, that, and maybe with a bit of Ex-lax, the market will certainly move.

It's because K-13 is still in progress for most fleets, keeping up higher than normal demand for dilithium. Once fleets finish K-13 and the demand drops, the rate will go up again.
