limited time fleet projects

So, I was hanging around the ol' esb and saw somebody in chat say their fleet had just completed some limited time projects that had been over for a while. This is on ps4 so it was the starbase shutters and embassy aquarium. Anyway, this leeds me to believe that once the project is up and active, that you have as much time as you want to fill up the 200k dilithium. It's only if it's not put up before the event is over that it actually "expires." My fleet hasn't had too many problems completing them but we aren't a big fleet so, if we don't have to rush so hard to complete them, it would be pretty helpful. I'm just looking for a confirmation or contradiction. Thanks.

I always wondered this as well. That's why when I donate to one of those projects, I fill it outright to make sure I don't waste any dilithium.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

The projects should work the same way as they do on PC. That being said, yes, as long as the project is slotted before its active window expires, your fleet can take its time completing it.

Additionally, on the PC side, once all of the projects made their initial pass through, they were brought back, allowing fleets to complete projects that they may have missed the first time around.

And I believe the way it's working now, the projects are all just there, to be run and completed in any order a fleet desires. The limited time aspect seems to be just for the first rotation of the projects.

  • Thanks a bunch. I knew they came back on pc from researching stuff and things. But it was years later was it not? I also thought they were back for a limited time as well so it's good to know that it's not so much.

No, it wasn't really that long after the initial run. Maybe a year at most. And they seem keen on getting the consoles up to speed with PC, so I wouldn't think that consoles would have to wait too long for the projects to go up permanently.

I hope they come back. Our fleet missed the Mine windows because, for some odd reason, we couldn't even slot it as it wasn't available. If the Mine windows needed Tier 3 then buckus... we didn't even have Tier 2.

That was only when there was a long period of no new holding releases after the Spire. It ended when the Research Lab was released.

They're normally rerun as an occasional event.
