The Sovy was never (in canon anyway) capable of saucer sep. But in expanded universe.....heck the tech manual claims the ORIGINAL NCC 1701 could do saucer sep in emergency. It's just it was a built in feature on the 1701D. I'm a canon guy, so short of the Ent-D (and subsequently the GalX) and the Prometheus, we never saw any other ships on screen do a separation. Or did I miss one?

Still not canon. Didn't happen on screen, no reference to on screen. I get that isn't the sole decider for Cryptic, but they have to run everything by CBS....

Yet they made the Akira vasriant as a carrier and that was never seen on screen.

I think that's because it's easier to make a ship capable of launching shuttles than it is to make it separate into two pieces. They would have to remake the in-game Sovereign model again in order to incorporate saucer separation because it doesn't have a modeled battle-bridge segment like the Galaxy

They creat all these new ships and between the Galaxy X, Galaxy, and Promethoues i think they would have enough to make it.
Well, it happens.
Ships can't have all of their canon abilities or mentioned abilities for whatever reasons (like the massive cannon-like torpedo launchers of the Vengeance, which made me a bit sad).
The Kelvin Connie saucer doesn't separate either despite the separation happening on-screen.

but with all the tier variants this game is perfect to see it.

Kelvin Connie we have in game is based on Into Darkness. They didn't have permission to use ST Beyond yet.

Well it's based on the ship from 09 and the majority of ID. Not the refit from the end of ID and BEY. Though I don't see any reason why one would be able to separate and the other not. The impulse array, pylon position, and nacelles were the only changes made between the two sub-types.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Not sure if it was canon or not, but I heard somewhere that the version of saucer separation used by the TOS ships was not easily reversible and required returning to a shipyard to put it back together.

It wasn't, considering the only canon separations were the Galaxy and the Prometheus in the PT.

Eeew. Nebulas aren't meant to separate. It's unnatural.

Gal-X > Odyssey > Sovereign, cause the former has both saucer separation ability and a hangar, followed by only Aquarius or Saucer separation (something that should have been unlocked to do both a long time ago, but still isn't), followed by nothing interesting to me other than a nice Regent skin.
They should introduce some mirror universe Sovereign that can saucer separate.
And talking about pets, I'm hoping they're still prioritizing fixes on separation units, as at the moment these are completely broken still as they vanish completely after separating. Flight deck pets still don't respond to commands either, and that's after at least 2 fix attempts. Pretty frustrating and disappointing really that such a basic feature has never been fixed in years.
Is this for PC? Don't recall seeing a news drop about new t6 ships coming on console.
I'd like to see more Romulan and Klingon t6 ships. I still haven't found a Klingon equivalent of the T6 Defiant. The Kor BoP is supposed to be, but the lack of tactical BoF rank, console slots, and aft weapons leave it lacking for me.
I don't get why my FoP allied Romulan can use a t4 Defiant but not a t6?

John Eaves designed to be able to do so.
