Rep - vanity items and feeling stupid

after all these years of playing STO with (I've actually forgotten how many toons), I finally broke down and completed all the Rep Tiers on my TOS toon.

And you know what? I noticed the Vanity items on these and realized I don't have a clue where these things are supposed to be, since they aren't rep projects and are not available in the stores.

So...

Where are they? Only curious, since I've never bothered with trying to find them before. I realize it's probably something obvious, but I'm still muddled atm.

    It would help to know what vanity items you are talking about.
    "You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!?     If you mean the tailor unlocks for the reps, you get them by making the 3 piece ground set (shield, armor, weapon), and IIRC equipping it once.​​

    You don't have to equip them, at least not on your toon themself. Maybe on a boff.

    No, some of the ones that come to mind are the Rom/Remen Entourage from Tier V Rom Rep, and the Utility Ground Device from the Nukara Rep. Actually, I just looked, and from what I can see, these are the only Vanity items in the Rep system atm. I'm assuming they are vanity pets, as that's how they'd function by design. Never see these in the game, so it makes me wonder if anyone actually knows where they are located.

    Note that I'm not talking about Consumable items.

    They show up for me as a project, but why waste the resources for a vanity item that lasts a max of 4 hours and takes up an inventory slot?

    Merely curiousity. I don't have the project showing up on my list. One of those things that makes you go 'huh'?

    so I was asking mosting to get an answer. Never said I wanted them. Only the info.

    Ah! But where's the fun in that?

    Besides, vanity items are one area rarely dealt with by the wiki, so forum is only source.

    Wiki is only good for common things, such as missions or doffs. It's full of holes.

    and...@leemwatson, the purpose of the forum is to 'Ask Questions'. Has been since the game came out.

    And you got an answer for your particular question. Having played the game for so long, I've accrued enough knowledge to answer most things, however, I even consult the wiki first, if there's something I need to know. I only ask on the forums when that knowledge isn't readily available. I prefer doing the fishing, rather than someone hand-feed me the information.

    same here. Did and done.

    still, the answer seems off, since I don't have any projects for those items. Might after the next update. Might not.

    I was curious if they were something like the costume unlocks, since personnally think they should be part of the tailor items and not inventory slot items.

    If they are a project, then I've got another glitch. one of many I've dealt with since before the game came out.

    They are projects under the consumables category, at the bottom of the list.

    They show up on my TOS toon, fifth or so project from the bottom, no idea why they should not show up for you unless there is an added unlock requirement that I am not aware of.
