The reason i asked the above questions is i find it Inconcievable that they have such a low percentage chance of getting an Epic. When to start with all these Prizes were free all you done was 25 days of an event to get the ships.
If they Bring it back why cant they just make the chance of getting an epic Higher or make the epic buyable with 25 days worth of dil.Why should Players who never had the chance to get the Ships/Consoles spend so much and not end up with them come on cryptic they were free to players at the time

Exclusivity is a big thing in the game. As you can clearly see. To put it harshly, its punishment for not taking playing the game when the event was going on. They probably only did this because the players asked for it. At least there's a chance now. The purpose of boxes was never to give ship to the players, which were rewards back then for taking part in the events mind you. At least you can get other items which were also time gated rewards like the crystalline module and VR doffs.

That's the entire point of a Skinner Box MMO (which all of them are). You get something nice as a reward for the box (say, the amazing Phonics Upgrade Kit), but they can still dangle that Epic token in front of you by saying, "Hey, look what you MIGHT win." This, in turn, will make you spend again for the allure of a huge reward, but the medium/low rewards are just good enough to make you come back.
This was a brilliantly designed promotion.

yet again someone else who doesn't comprehend how random, odds and chance work especially in a multi player environment or in real life for that matter.
I will try to make this easy, supposing I run a lottery with 1000 tickets and 10 of those tickets contained a jackpot prize, the odds of someone buying a ticket and getting the jackpot would be 100-1, clear so far.
does this mean someone could buy 100 tickets and be guaranteed to get the jackpot, no it doesn't, in fact someone could buy 990 tickets and still not get the jackpot.
with the phoenix event players were given the chance to win tokens that would grant them one of the event ships, for every box you opened there was a random chance that one of them could have been a ship token albeit a very small chance as what the boxs contain is random and don't forget there were many other players also opening boxes and they also had the same chance as you did.
if you could see the stats for the total number of boxes opened and the number of ship tokens that were won you would see that the figures approximately match the odds set by the devs to dictate the random chance of getting a ship token and almost perfectly fits with the actual number of tokens won give or take a fair margin.
why the devs chose to use this format is unimportant (and quite frankly their business) what is important is if you feel as most players do that even if you didn't get a ship token you still ended up with stuff that was worth the dilithium expense or if you are in a very small minority who think they have been ripped off or conned in some way.
depending on how you feel will dictate if you open phoenix boxes again or not if/when the event reappears.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
