The $10 dump

So I have limited bandwidth, I do my best to keep an eye on it and stay within my limits. This month was especially tight on bandwidth for various reasons. Started today with 1.5gb remaining.

"Ought to be more than enough to check my emails and get my dailies."

I just logged out of STO and went and took a TRIBBLE, come back to find it patched after I quit and I wasn't at the keys to stop it.

So I just took a $10 TRIBBLE.

Edit; Since when do games patch after you quit out of them?

    The patching after you get logged out is normal when there is a large update coming. It allows for a faster patch time on patch day.​​

    big mmos are not friendly with limited bandwidthes. for sto your should expect 300-500 mb every week. and 3k - 6k every 3 months

    This is the first MMO I have played that has done pre-patching. I had not heard of it until I started playing this, or even until tonight, thank you very much.

    MMO's I have played (cos I know y'all are gonna want to know)
    Eve Online
    Warframe
    Marvel Heroes
    Ragnarok Online

    Not a huge list, sure, but all of them still use a launcher and none of them, to the best of my knowledge, ever patched after I closed the program.

    I need to get off my TRIBBLE and kill myself, so TRIBBLE tired of this planet. (and yeah, I've got more going on in my life than just a TRIBBLE game putting me in a bad mood, this is just the straw on the camel's back)

    Preloading all depends on the MMO. The advantages to preloading is that players can access major content early and reduce the strain of thousands of players downloading 1 GB or more of data at the same time. Some MMO servers can handle that strain, but others can't or don't want to risk it.

    Seriously get some mental health help you sound like you have some real issues. Get some help guy especially if a problem with a stupid game is pushing you over the edge. GET SOME HELP!
