AOY on console

May have missed this elsewhere, but when will Agents of Yesterday drop for Xbox One? Would have loved to take advantage of this weekend's sale.

January is when it will drop most likely. The console timeline is running 6 months behind PC according to Cryptic.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Holy **** why so long? 6 months behind? Every other game is maybe a couple weeks, what are they doing that they are half a year behind. I could understand if the game was more advanced. But this is very old lol.

    .

I suppose it's so they can iron out content on the PC first rather than 3 platforms at the same time. They are only a small team of about 40 or 50 people remember.

When the Consoles launched they had everything up through Season 11.5 in terms of story and the skill revamp, the Romulan, Delta, Dyson and 8472 Counter Command Reputations, and a select number of ships in game, and the upgrade system, but no way to get tech upgrades without opening boxes, buying the commons, finding them as drops or on the exchange.

Almost 2 and a half months since consoles were released, they drop the Fleet system w/ fleet ships, Doffing, Admiralty and Crafting into the game along with Omega and Iconian reputations. I think what's left is the Nukara, Terran reputations and then Agents of Yesterday with the Temporal Specialization, Temporal Reputation, and fleet station K-13 holding.

Just using this as an example. When a player starts new on the PC, they mostly are over-whelmed by the actual amount of systems, side-missions etc, that there is, as pretty much anyone on the Consoles will be now. I make it a point when I advise a new player to never skip tutorials and their pop-ups, and to explore every button/option before they start asking questions.....there are a plethora of people who do skip! What you have is nearly 6 years of content dropping on your head at high speed. What the consoles got (mostly) was content that was (mostly) polished and (mostly) bug-free and required less work. AoY was developed side-by-side for the PC with the Console Season 11.5 release. So they had double the work. AoY required polishing even after the Console dropped. The extra systems that have just come online for the console (R&D, Doffing) had extensive refurbishment and bug-fixing done on them, which will also translate to the PC. They are basically doing each system one at a time. It's not 'being unfair' or anything, they literally are, as I said, refurbishing and bug-fixing systems that are years old. It does make sense.

And finally, don't forget, you're getting a game, that's free, that has way, way more content than most 'paid for' games have. You can't complete STO in 6/7 hours unlike say CoD. It takes weeks to hit level 60 if you're playing for more than 4 hours a day, and will take many months before you max out everything on 1 character.
