X1 Kolasi Destroyer's Javelin not working

I recently got the T6 Kolasi Dreadnought Destroyer and for some reason the Javelin (the equivalent of the Federation Spinal Lance) is always greyed out. I can't use it.

Anyone know why?

I put this in the bug forum, but I thought I'd ask here too.

you need to be in siege mode first of all, then it needs to be charged via firing energy weapons at enemy targets

Oh. Thanks for the info. Thought it just worked like the Federation and Romulan version did.

No, this lance is actually useful. More accurate, more punch and energy drain from opponents.

Besides the faceleech mode (siege) is awesome.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

yep siege mode - but also has to drain some energy first (ie doens't work straight after hitting siege mode) and has a narrow arc of fire.

Normally you fall out of siege mode when using it. but if you use the lance in the middle of a weapons firing cycle it might not.

it'll just interrupt that cycle and drop you out of siege mode anyway - and considering how long the animation takes, that'll cost you precious DPS...so never use the lance unless it's the last thing on the map

Enh... I know that it doesn't always cause me to revert, soo... Not 100% sure why, but I always see it happen in situations where I am actively firing weapons.

I have the Kolasi too, and the two other ships of the Cross faction pack, and this ship is very difficult to play.
    - When you enable to Siege mode, the ship itself keep switching from siege mode to normal mode each 2 seconds and never end...
    - You never now where is the front and where is the back..
    - The Javelin is very difficult to use and to aim, more difficult to use than the spinal lance...
    - When in siege mode, it is very difficult to return in normal mode, 90% of the time, it don't work, or may be it return to normal mode, while keeping the attitude of siege mode (arms to the front)

Until Cryptic fix this ship, I didn't recommend anyone to buy it, because now it is unplayable...

It's not difficult it just sucks compared to the other ships in the pack. I thought Kolasi was a good ship but after this event I now know it isn't.
Yamato with guest consoles is great. Kara with guest consoles is great. Kolasi is just left behind. It's more of an escort than a dreadnought. It has no place in the dreadnought pack.

So? Fly it like it has a Tac Commander then. :p As the most maneuverable it has the easiest time keeping the lance pointed at your enemy.

If you're having trouble surviving while aiming the javelin Lance, set up your command specialist with Rally Point Marker to give you shield and Hull regen. This is vital if you choose to remain stationary. Shield repair hangar pets and the hull repair drones from the Varanus (if you have them) also increase your survivability.

But remember, the Kolasi is basically an oversized escort carrier with a Death Star laser rather than a chunky cruiser and should be treated as such.
