Can you explain this change please? Will we lose any items that have expired?
Old mail sent by the Exchange to the player’s mail inbox will be removed upon logging in.
The deletion is for old or read exchange mail that does not contain items. You do not run the risk of losing items.
That was my thought as well. I have some returned Exchange mail from a while back and just never got around to fully cleaning it all out. I have quite a bit of stuff I really would't want to lose and will be incredibly annoyed if I do lose those items.
Two Maintinance in the space of three days right during eu prime time, not really nice on eu players as this is our prime play time. Just to clarify i am not gonna rant on about the way we in the eu are treated regarding downtime, and i am not gonna threaten to stop spending anything either. Instead i am going to approach this from a business point of view as to why interrupting play multiple times in half a week for a section of your player base is a bad thing.
1. Good business sense - Doing the weekly maintenance at it's current times is the right choice business wise. The less players affected during their prime time the less unhappy players. Since the current time is the lowest game population time it makes sense as less players are likely to get annoyed about interrupted play time and cut back or stop their spending.
2. Bad business sense - Taking the game down during any regions prime time regardless of the population multiple times in short span. By disrupting peoples prime time multiple times in a the space of a few days it makes those players feel like they are undervalued/do not matter/not worth thinking about. This will make players angry at the dismissive thought towards them, and in a game that does not require paying to play, an angry customer is a non paying customer.
In conclusion, if not for your customers in this timezone, for the sake of your own profits please make this a one off and do not keep treating us eu players in such a dismissive manner, leaving us feeling dissatisfied/angry that sop little concern is shown for how patch times affect us.
Keep it to once a week, you could of just added the Tuesday stuff onto today's so it was only once this week instead of slapping us in the face by doing this twice in three days.
So are two maintenances per week the new rule? Because the one of Tuesday wasn't announced as an extraordinary one, it was Arc maintenance either, nor did it fix anything absolutely crucial, and yet we have another one today?
Yes I know it's Thursday, but "ordinary" maintenance Tuesday usually mean no patch Thursday, so what gives? Or did they just mix up pc and console or something?
Not a rant or a complaint, just a question because I'm rather puzzled right now.
What she/he said..And dates are also messed up on the launcher..
Have to agree with conceptz82 not great for eu players especially having just returned from a years break and re subbed I found maintenance recently at twice a week horrible lag server not responding and multiple random disconnects and the only things I see getting fixed seem to be of not any real value to the players. Good job
I am not happy at all that mail items get deleted without my approval.
In case storage space is an issue on the Cryptic Servers, an option to store mail locally on the customers PC should be an option for paying customers at least.
It's deleting the old blank mails. Not mails with items.
Will... turn... rate... bug... be... fixed?
Figured I'd break it down for you simpletons.
42 days.
Keep messing with us clowns.
Your game is "Free to download" tired of you developers hiding behind the label of "Free to play" label these days to legally excuse your incompetence and laziness. If your game was F2P then how are you able to sell Lifetime Subscriptions?
Get no pity on console, and @LaughingTrendy has already given the impression that someone royally screwed up the 15th, so how about a damn apology?
Do us a favor and sell the rights of STO to a better company, perhaps Bethesda. Watch how much caring publishers and developers make off of a franchise game.
MMOTANK will always get my money over yall.
May I first start by saying, your aggressiveness Is somewhat out of order, such flaming posts could ultimately result in either a tempoary or permanent ban from the forum. I really want to address your comment regarding subscriptions though. Star Trek Online when originally released in 2009 / 10 was not F2P it was only until a year or so later (in 2010) it went to F2P but still mained the option for players to subscribe. This has continued to the present day almost 7 years after the launch.
But overall it is you that should be issuing an apology. referring to the community team and developers as simpletons is not on. They work really really hard day in day out. Ok some bugs that we have in game are not being fixed as quickly as some would hope for, but they do get fixed. There is a process that needs to be followed, root cause of bug, does it effect other issue, will a fix for the bug break something else. So they need to fully investigate and test before releasing a patch.
I had no idea gold romulan imperial kit frames were a "problem" before patch notes. So i was up late last night getting those for my romulans. Awesome stuff thank you, epic quality with 5 boosters. Can you put this bug in other kit frames for my other toons?

Setting aside my unusual optimism, back to normal me; I wonder what'll get fked up THIS TIME?
