    Probably they mess up the date in wich the blog was supposed to come online, anyway, we already knew, and we have a great looking ship coming up, pretty soon!

    They're probably identifying them as two seperate classes. Vizier for the Command, Archon for the Intel. Kinda like how the 3 pack ships like the Odyssey T6 are technically 3 seperate classes of the same family.

    Sesh dude, wait! Just because a special promo is being done, doesnt mean another version of this ship wont be in the C-Store. It is basically guaranteed we will be getting a C-Store version that has a intel hybrid seat

    You know it! I won't have the Zen for the C-Store one for a while due to me focusing on the Temporal Pack and being depleted after I get it.

    You aren't buying attack wing, you are buying one expansion ship for it, retail price $20 $15 (which is cheaper than the $30 for the C-Store version). If you get lucky you might be able to get it for cheaper (I have mine pre-ordered for $12), but all of the places I normally go to for board games have already sold out their pre-order allotment.

    The T6 Sovy is a special promotion with Wiz-Kids... You get the code from their site after buying their pack...

    But...

    Funny how at first, the blog had 4 pics of the new class (as seen in the OP), but now there's the sovvy skin with a material I'm not familiar with (looks like the Type 6 but with more orange/yellowish tint instead of red).

    And the blog still mistakenly lists an intel seat in the stat section for the non-fleet version.

    Quite a mess indeed. I just hope the real intel variant comes soon.

    I do. Because the C-store version isn't mentioned in the current blog at all. But it's still garbage that we have to go to another source to get the complete set of the ship. Is it an account unlock? Is there something wrong with buying all of the versions of the ship through the C-store?

    I'm gonna see if I can find it anyway because the Sovereign is my jam and I've been saving up for over a year for it, but I'm not going out of my way. This is bogus.

    I'm thinking there will not be any more C-store ships. locking them in boxes is far more effective from the cash cow perspective. we will see the Intel (sci?) command (Tac?) and maybe see the engy for the first contact event, probably not much better than t5U

    That seems like a very dark prediction to make, don't ya think? Cryptic makes a lot of money from the C-Store, and so not supporting it in favor of these promotional and lock box ships would be gutting a large portion of their income.

    At most, we'll just end up with no more Romulan/KDF C-Store ships, seeing as we've gone nearly a year without any (last C-Store release for them was the faction flagships). Now that I think about it though, this year has seen far fewer T5-to-T6 upgrades in the C-Store. Last year we were getting new C-Store 3-packs/9-packs every 2-3 months, but this year we've gotten the faction flagships 9-pack and the AoY mega-pack. The most recent of those, the AoY mega-pack, came out late July, and the flagships bundle was released in late February.

    Hopefully not working on an expansion next year will allow Cryptic to crank out more T6 upgrades and/or entirely new ships for the C-Store. I'm personally still waiting for a T6 Vo'quv, T6 Vor'cha, T6 Dhelan, T6 Patrol Escort, T6 Nebula Science Vessel, T6 Nova Science Vessel, and a set of T6 Vestas (probably won't happen but still).

    Yeah, they should have put it in a Promo Box with a .001% chance of you getting it like the other recent two Fed T6 "Hero" ships. ;)

    You miss an important point though. The cult-status of the original 3 faction-ships from TOS versus the status of the Sovereign-class in comparison to each other.

    A Sovereign from a box-promo wouldn't make NEARLY as much money as the TOS-Connie/D7/RBoP did.

    Also I think there would be harder backlash towards Cryptic and PWE if they did it with the Sovy too, because TNG-hero-ships have always been in the C-store. If the T6 Galaxy would have been promo-only too, they'd have gotten away with it though.

      I still wouldn't take the risk personally. A quick email would answer the question; as I said, the linked page makes no reference to the STO code whatsoever.
