Do damage bonuses affect consoles?

Specifically the Heavy Phaser Assault Platform. Does +Phaser Damage boost it's damage?

    It affects some consoles at least, Phaser Point Defense console is pretty impressive if you crank up the Phaser damage boosts, as an example.

    For a deployable, it depends if it's tagged as a pet or a part of your ship... not sure where the Heavy Phaser Assault Platform falls as I lack it to test. If you have the console already, check it's tooltip damage (in non-Sector Space, like in orbit of ESD) with no Tac consoles, then bolt on some cheap Phaser Tac consoles and see if it goes up afterwards. If I had to guess, given that it has passives to boost Phaser and Mine damage, is that it probably does.

    I think not in the case of platforms, those would more than likely be classified as a pet. Which begs the question if they are buffed by traits, skills, etc. that affect pets.

    Not really. The problem is that on a DPS build, unless it's an ultra-short run, the console isn't doing anything most of the run, as it's an activate-able with a two minute cooldown and no passives. So, most Reputation, Lobi or dedicated Fleet consoles (as well as a small number of Lockbox consoles) will provide a lot more DPS over a run, since they enhance your DPS over the whole run (instead of bursts of AoE damage, followed by nothing).

    I use it mainly between when the Thunderchild (the ship it comes from) becomes available and I get end-game gear. Early on it's an impressive boost to your capabilities, as you have limited Tac BOffs on low-tier ships and its damage burst can melt enemies, as well as keep you safe from high yield torps. I used it even on my AoY's Vengeance for a while until I could get Fleet and Reputation stuff good enough to replace it.

    Point Defense console is not boosted by Phaser Damage bonus. Neither are your hangar pets or any other deployable object.

    Yeah, sorry... I meant Heavy Phaser Platform.

    Phaser Point Defense damage is still scaling for me, both 'bonus' damage boost (from Counter Command Ordinance two-set) as well as standard [Phaser] Locators and Phaser Relays.

    Edit: Apparently, quotes can change if the orginal is edited before posting... That is a bit annoying. One more 'feature' that makes Vannila Forums great...

    Point Defense might scale, I'm really not sure on that.

    Generally speaking, anything that is deployable like phaser platforms or any type of pet is not going to benefit from your damage boosts. Consoles that function as ship weapons (phaser lance, saturation bomb, etc) do get the benefit.

    I have never tested the point defense, so if you're seeing it getting the buff then great!

    Phaser / Disruptor Point Defense Console does get buffed by Phaser / Disruptor bonus. We used to use this all the time in PVP to give someone a surprise.

    Here's another one: The Bio-Neural Warhead is a KDF torp (Feds / Fed-Roms can get it in an console exchange box).
    - The torpedo is destructible but shielded, counts as a Tricobalt projectile.
    - It has an Antiproton point defense turret on it. That is buffed by Antiproton also.

    Long reload though, as with all tricobalt weapons.
