mission : desperate measures , repeated problem progressing mission on PS4

struggling to progress the desperate measures mission on PS4. I beam aboard the Roumulan station. Having the following issues
-first time in, i was told to kill 2 groups of Romulan guards. I kill 1 group, then the second group never shows up
-I return to ship from the menu, then go back in again. Second time, the ground mission re-starts, but i just have a "mission briefing" text, instead of tasks. I therefore cannot progress the mission.
It would appear other console players have this issue, as suggested at

what can i do? I dont really want to restart the entire mission if i can avoid it.
I am confused about my options now
-am a stuck until this is fixed, and have to abandon the game for a while?
-do i drop the mission and try a different epsode path? Confused.

thanks. That worked for me after two tries. I guess it depends how busy the server is.
