Cannot equip kit - Romulan character

Since the recent patch, I can't equip actual kits anymore on my Romulan Fleet Admiral character. I had a kit that was equipped before the change that was kicked into my inventory, that it wouldn't allow me to equip - I assumed it must be bugged - but I just received a kit as a mission reward and it won't allow me to equip that one either.

    I got the same issue I not Understand what happen . many time Fix anything are be reset

    I seem to be okay on most my toons EXCEPT for my Klingon-aligned Rom Engineer. I cannot equip my kit either (also, that is the only kit that has not returned from the ether).

    That's exactly what my Romulan toon is - KDF aligned engineer.
