I see that the Mirror Invasion Event starts this Thursday. I was curious if the PC players could offers some insight into this event - from a difficulty standpoint is is similar to the Tholian event or the Crystaline Cataclysm? Also, any tips on the best way to complete it? Thanks.

Mirror event can be quite frantic, so working as a team is vital - if you see a teammate getting overwhelmed or surrounded by mirror universe portals, go help them. Listen to the briefing, this one isn't just a case of blast everything in site - without too many spoilers let's just say that helping to build-up station defences can help. Don't rush as it is possible to reach a point where no more mirror portals will spawn and this hurts your bonuses.
It has been stated elsewhere that the Fleet Mark reward is pretty useless as you can't use them just now - get as many as you can, once you have access to holdings you will need them, some of the later holdings projects require thousands of them. Another way to think of them is that once you have access, Fleet Marks convert to Fleet Credit which you will need to buy Fleet Gear, Fleet Ships etc. So think of them as a savings plan.
Best advice - have fun, work together. (If voice chat is available on console - use it to communicate)
If you have multiple characters, I would suggest running the event through with them all - on the PC some event rewards can be unlocked account wide by running them with a single character however for events such as the mirror event which reward a decent dilithium amount after 14/15 days it can benefit new/space poor players to spend the time getting each character through the required number of days then using the dil exchange (if available) to transfer dil between characters.

Interesting. So other than the optional 3.5 minutes to kill the dreadnought this is not a timed mission?
iirc the number of marks is affected by number of portals closed, health of station (if it hits zero at any point this wipes out this part of the reward bonus), station defence level and whether the dreadnaught is destroyed in the allotted time.
Try looking on you tube for some video of runs from previous PC events, this should give you some idea of tactics but really it all comes down to what skills your team has available.
