[XBox1] Secret Shuttle codes not working and can't start Borg Advance

I am unable to progress in the Romulan mission "Secret Shuttle Codes. The person that the various walk-thrus and wikis say to talk to is not responding. Each time he says he has nothing for me at this time. I have also checked the entire mountain pass area multiple times for the shuttle/codes.

Things I have tried over the past week include...
Logging out and back in at the guy I'm supposed to talk to;
Logging completely out, shutting off the XBox1, and logging back in at the guy I'm supposed to talk to;
Logging out and back in at the staging area and running to the guy I'm supposed to talk to;
Logging completely out, shutting off the XBox1,logging back in and running to the guy I'm supposed to talk to;
Logging out and back in at the staging area and transporting to the guy I'm supposed to talk to;
Logging completely out, shutting off the XBox1, logging back in and transporting to the guy I'm supposed to talk to;
Logging out and back in before beaming down to New Romulus and transporting to the guy I'm supposed to talk to;
Logging completely out, shutting off the XBox1,logging back in before beaming down to New Romulus and transporting to the guy I'm supposed to talk to;

Doing this multiple times is also very annoying as there is no way to skip the long cut-scene that plays each time I beam down to New Romulus.

None of these have worked. I have also all ready roamed the entire zone of New Romulus, activated all the transport pads, and roamed the mountain pass area multiple times looking for anything to interact with. Again, nothing is working.

Lastly, there is no way to drop the mission and restart it either as the drop mission option is always greyed out and not available for this mission.

NEXT:

I am also unable to start the Borg Advance mission. Apparently Quinn should have given me a mission to start this around level 47 (I'm currently level 55) but I have not gotten it. When I visit Quinn, all he has is a pvp mission for me, and even after accepting that, he has no other missions for me.

Please get these issues fixed. I really enjoy the game, but the crazy amount of bugs/broken missions is extremely frustrating. Thanks for your time and help.

Silly question but you mention a long cut scene when you beam to New Romulus - is this the one where you are introduced to D'Tan? If so have you spoken with the guy who is at the back of the area where you walk to with D'Tan? It might be a case that if you haven't completed a single element of the intro to New Romulus then the game will not open certain content as it doesn't recognise you have been there before

If you mean Koren (something like that?), who D'Tan says handles things for the staging area, then I have tried to speak with him and he won't talk to me at all. No prompt whatsoever to talk to him.

Edited to add that yes, the long cut scene is the one where you talk to D'Tan, bow to each other, and he transports out.

The secret shuttle codes is an instanced mission. It's not physically there to be "found" in the mountain pass like an interactable object. It's just where you have to go to enter the mission. If the NPC were functioning properly, you would then go up the road and to the right into a canyon where you'd see the shimmering entrance to the mission.

It has, however, been reported before that the NPC is not giving the necessary mission in order to access this instance. It is indeed, unfortunately, broken for console players.

I think this has to do with the rep system also if I am not wrong..Like the Temporal rep system where you visit DS9??

If you have already done the Mountain Pass mission on New Romulus, you will need to replay that mission again from the start menu Mission Log in order to access the Secret Shuttle codes. You have to access this through the logs as the NPC who gives the mission doesn't work in console versions of the game.

Thanks for the confirmation that this is not working.

I have not completed the mission previously, and since there is also no way to drop the mission, I am also unable to access it through the logs and/or mission section and/or restart it.

Hopefully this will be fixed before too much longer.

I don't suppose anyone knows how i might be able to start the Borg Advance missions, since Quinn won't give me the starting mission?

it should start. that mission doesn't really lead onto it. it's like a side quest.

have you completed the main missions in the mission journal?

So... You know that list of missions? Its broken up into three sections. The second section should be the one containing Borg advance and New Romulus campaigns. You have to do them in order. Atleast that is how it is on XB1 for me. If you haven't completed Breen Invasion you wont be able to do Borg Advance. This is also why you can't do the shuttle codes mission as that is done along side the New Romulus missions.

Went and checked my mission journal;

Cardassian Mission arc at 70%, Breen 0%, Borg 0%, and Romulan 0%

For next section;

Solonae at 77%, Delta 20%

So perhaps it is possible that I'm not able to do the Romulan Mission until I finish the Cardassian arc, Breen arc, and Borg arc? If so, then it's very poor coding to give me a mission, have it show as an active mission, but be completely unable to do it until I completed the previous mission arcs. Why even give me the hail to start the Romulan mission arc at lvl 50 like it did then?

Considering I had no problem starting the Solanae missions without completing the previous ones, and had no trouble starting the Delta missions despite not completing the Solanae missions yet; I very much doubt I need to complete the Card/Breen/Borg before staring Romulus. And if I do, then see above about the obviously poor coding if it's true - why give an active mission that is unable to be completed?!?

Lastly, I have no trouble doing the space reputation missions for reputation marks and am up to tier 3 for New Romulus, so why allow those if I'm not even supposed to start the missions until completing the previous arcs?

did you take advantage of the bonus weekend? if soo. you've out run the missions. you will have to complete the previous mission arcs.

ps. just make other missions primary until you unlock new rom.

I would recommend completing the Cardassian, Breen and Borg arcs before attempting to go back to New Romulus. Once those are caught up, you should be fine.

Hey guys I had this problem too. Managed to fix it however. If the mission "mountain pass" is green in your mission log as in where you can check and replay episodes in the pause menu. Simply chose the mountain pass mission from the new romulus story section accept it and you're good to go. Like I said worked for me. No need to talk to the guy by the transporter at all just go to the instance run through the it again and the shuttle is at the end. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, on ps4 my game skipped over the mountain pass episode. Now I have secret shuttle codes but I cannot progress it, I guess because I have not completed the mountain pass episode. Additionally, it will not allow me to drop the secret shuttle codes episode so I am stuck.

Shows 0% and no episodes unlocked. However, I have the missions Secret Shuttle Codes and Web Access in my active missions.
