I am having trouble locating the probe on the Kuvah'magh mission. I read the posts for that. Ran the mission five times.
1. If I "move on" and complete the mission without finding the probe can I replay the mission and get the probe?
2.
2. Does anyone have any tips on locating the probe (I,e, what direction to go) on large ground maps? In space, I use a light ship like a Constellation and target the probe and the ship turns towards the probe wheteher its on the sensors or not. I think that since this is an optional mission objective probes should at least get an arrow on the minimap.
3. Is there a relationship of distance to the probe and the amount of experience given? I notice that sometimes when I type in target temporal probe nothing appears in chat. Sometimes 15 experience is given and sometimes 30 experience is given as an example. Do you get more experience the closer you are to the probe? If so this could be used as a range finder.
4. Someone said this mission is bugged. I suspect others may be as well. Does the probe not appear on some play throughs? If you are out of range and type in "target temporal probe" it will not show up on the map. However, when you walk within range does it automatically show up or do you have to keep typing the command a bunch? If you were in range and the probe showed up and you missed it does it remain visible on the map even if you walk out of range?
I'm sure many players have "done this" as far as probes but I created a character during the event and am just around to a play through. Thanks

2 Pull up the mini map the general area should appear as a small broken green circle.
3 No idea
4 the probes locatons are random and sometimes hard to find.
Thankfully you can repeat the mission and try again. And you know it is somewhere on the main ground map, not in space or inside the building.
That is one possible location, but there is a set of locations for most probes. Search on "probe" to find old threads that list the Reddit page which has all of the possible locations.
* You can replay the mission to look for the probe.
* When you beam down to the planet, the probe's location is chosen randomly. If you leave and come back it may be somewhere else.
* It's not "bugged" if it doesn't appear near the beam-down site. It just spawned in a different location.
* Targeting has a range limit. If the probe is away from the range limit you won't be able to target it until you get closer.
* You may find it useful to search in a spiral pattern outward from where you start and keep an eye out for the distinctive red chronal distortion.
One thing I read here is when you are in range and enter target probe your compass is set to the probe direction. That helps.
I'm wrestling with the perfectionism of getting all the objectives and giving myself permission to enjoy the game. I am blind and this game is very tough for me to play. I play for the therapy of focus and patience. So some missions such as the maze in Temporal Ambassador I can't see to do. I think the best rewards for the temporal agent are the marks. The rewards for finding all the probes may not be worth the stress in the end. Every little trick like the compass helps though. Thanks
