Ground weapon stats strangeness

Iv been trying hard to find answers but the internet and other players on sto have been stumped.
I have a mkVI pulsewave assault rifle (uncommon)(critD) that for some reason when I hover says the DPS is around 245. Im sure thats not right? Especially when my mkXII is 170. Is it a glitch? or something to do with scaling or other stat increases? No other weapon Iv looked at or possess has this. My entire fleet is stumped on this one. Please explain and sorry if I could have found the answer elsewhere I did try. Thanks

    Yeah, I think this last update did something. I'm on PS4, and I would have my weapons constantly changing stats. Out of combat, Some will be at like 120, and then I find a new weapon, wait a couple of minutes, and they will all be at like 100's across the board.

    So you think it may be a glitch? It would explain why the very experienced members of my fleet are clueless but im still a newbie so I dont have a clue.

    Possible, there are tons of bugs going around right now.

    Enh, sometimes happens on PC too, so it's not a console glitch. Probably an error in the calc, but not sure if it's just a display error or not.

    Either way I'm pretty sure upgrading will fix it... not that you want that.

    If you are in a social area or battle zone like Kobali instead of in a story mission the numbers can be changed by other peoples' buffs just like for ships in Sol System. Also, some numbers just get weird in social zones like a kit module saying it will do eleventy billion points of healing or damage.

    Certain items also have display anomalies when viewed in the wrong type of map. Like those old TOS phasers that would display 4 dps when you looked at the stats on a ground map. If you looked at their stats in space it was fine.

    This is while im at ESD though. I tried it in pvp too. Tested the numbers against a mk12 of the same type and there was very little difference. It seems stronger than another mk6 similar to the 12 and not as strong as a fleet polaron weapon despite the number being higher. Very strange indeed.

    Don't forget when testing pulsewaves, that distance to the target is critical. If you don't stand at the same range with both guns you won't really know the comparable power.
