Gorn - Lukari ship building: The Gorn present

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
This blog has been released on the 20th on German and French site, but strangely enough not on the English media yet.
Might as well share it here.

With basic Knowledge of German or a translator it should be easy enough to read.

So.. T6 Varanus with blueish Lukari skins?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    It would appear that once again the Euro team is more on the ball again....

    Should be a Science ship, as we've not had a pure science ship reward since the Dyson!

    Anyway, i expect the new ship to be a mix of Lukari and Gorn design.
    I also hope that it will come with a cryonic secondary deflector to expand on the breen space set.

    Looks like I may start using the French news page instead of the english one.

    Either way interesting read about S'taas. I alwas liked the Gorn. It even seems to me he's hinting at some new conflict within the Klingon empire.
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    This is Gorn and all. But where the hell is the ship the KDF Faction is waiting for

    I want my Vor'cha. I can only speak for myself, but unless these ships either are eye candy good or have superb stats, i'll be passing and wait for the Vor'cha before parting with my money.

    Release the T6 Vor'cha already you want a KDF ship to make you some $$$

    That would be nice a true KDF Science ship that doesn't have to be that awful Dyson one or a Lobi/Lockbox/Event Ship

    Technically it will be Lukari :P unless you were referring to the vorcha.

    Both are in game now, need updating, are considered "Old" Gorn ships, and would appease the Gorn fans, KDF getting a primarily KDF themed ship, and everybody in general gets a freebie. Make it a science ship as the trend has always been with playable Gorn....tada

    The key wold "older ship" might indeed suggest that it will be one of the TOS Gorn Vessels we see in Agents of Yesterday?

    Even with what was lost in the translation, it does seem that perhaps the Gorn (or at least S'taass) are wanting 'out' of their alliance/servitude to the Klingons. As anyone who lost a war would be.

    Or maybe it's just more Undine/Changeling/Iconian machinations. We won't know for a while.

    Still, it was an interesting read.

    What am I missing? The link is to one of the fiction articles they post every week or so. I translated it and there was nothing about a new ship coming to the game and if there were, it wouldn't have remained hidden in an German fiction piece for the last two weeks. What are you all basis this on?

    No it doesn't have an actual game announcement, but the Gorn are giving a ship to the Lukari. That's currently the only hint to what the Winter Event ship could be.

    There has been a couple articles about building the Lukari ship. It has become widely believed that this future Lukari (now apparently old Gorn design) ship will become our next free ship (either Winter ship or something akin the Obelisk).

    Speaking of what's lost in translation, I wonder how much is already lost in those French and German articles (thankfully I didn't have to use Google for that French version).

    TOS Gorn should would be freaking awesome. I always played Gorn in Starfleet Battles, Federation Commander, Starfleet Command II and III.....and then was super excited with STO launched the Klingon faction and had playable GORN!!!! and then got pissed with only 1 originally (now 2 or 3?) Gorn ships, and those relegated to only science. I would actually log onto my Klingon/gorn characters for more than just daily farmings if they used this "old" ship as a freebie.

    Read "The Path to 2409".

    It talks all about the Gorn - Klingon War.

    But yet there are doff assignments where we need to supress Gron uprising, and even to initiate(got that one with KDF toon :smile:) ) so i guess klingons would like to fight them once more :) tho yet i have no idea where is Gorn homeworld on STO map, that would be nice to get on Map, as they aren't founding species of Empire, tho they atm making imporatant part in Empire governemnt and military not to mention large number of them on Qu'Nos. It would be interesting social zone :)
