Agreed. It's also a cross game issue as Neverwinter also gives this warning. Probably Champions to, if anyone still plays it ;)
    Definitely not an Arc User.

I just updated to Crimson Edition 16.9.2 and it is still giving the warning that my video drivers are out of date.

i'm having this same issue after installing crimson 16.9.2 today. game worked fine with 16.9.1 drivers yesterday, could it possibly be something to do with the patch today that's causing this happen?

running win 10 64 bit home 1607 anniversary update, amd r7 260x 1gb gfx, 8gb corsair vengance ram.

Edit: Reinstalled crimson 16.9.1 drivers, force verified files and ran game in safe mode and still having the same problem which is weird, cause like i said yesterday the game worked fine on this driver.

Edit to my Edit: reinstalled the game but still getting the popup saying outdated drivers, clicked on play in default mode which let me get into the game but whenever i try to beam out to sector space the game becomes unresponsive and i have to use task manager to exit the game.

I am having a similar problem, my windows ten did a large update, this morning before the game went down for maint, my client came up with a screen saying my drivers were outdated and that the game may not work and I could pick play with reduced or default graphics settings I picked the default, in the client it says my drivers are outdated I updated from Crimson Edition 16.9.1 to Crimson Edition 16.9.2, as a second thought I also updated my on-board graphics in case it was that still no change, personaly I think its a windows ten thing thats done it.
my graphics is a Radeon R9-390 with windows 10 64-bit Pro,

I'm also having the same issue with AMD Crimson 16.9.2 Driver Version. I'm running a Radeon R7 260X OC 2GB Video Card on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Version 1607 with 8 GB Cosair Vengence DDR3 RAM and an Intel Core i3 3240 at 3.4 Ghz. The same message pops up for me on the bottom of the Character Select Screen telling me that my driver is Out-of-Date. I'm able to select a chararcter and get into the game and play. This might help as I'm running the game in DirectX 9 cause it will not run for me in DirectX 11 without crashing. Cryptic needs to fix these issues and update their Graphics Engine or just give up on this game and let somebody else take care of it. I'm a Lifetime Sub to the game and love to play it, but these issues not being fixed and constantly coming out with more ways to make money is getting tired. Put some of that money into fixing all of the issues with the game instead of coming out with Z-Store DLC like ships nobody can get without putting a lot of money into it. Thank you and Have A Nice Day.

Same issue here. Updated my driver and the Win10 update, says its out of date, ruddy sick of STO not playing nice with AMD graphics cards.

Yea, add me to the list, but it only occurred after Windows 10 installed the Anniversary update (which also introduced all sorts of crashes either on first login or upon exiting the game). I was getting no warnings using Crimson 16.9.1 but that was before the Anniversary update (I started getting those warnings after the Windows 10 Anniversary update and that prompted me to install Crimson 16.9.2)...

My system has an AMD Radeon R7 260X...

Update. I removed Crimson 16.9.2, cleaned up the registry (CCleaner), then installed 16.7.3, the current WHQL drivers AMD has listed - that is as far as my card goes (16.9.1 and 16.9.2 are non-WHQL certified hot-fixes). This fixed all my issues.

I did the same thing and it worked for me as well, I no longer see the message at the bottom of my Character Select Screen.

I solved this by running master and Uninstall. Reboot reinstall reboot.
