More random sector space spawns

We currently have Unknown Nebulas, Unknown Comets, and Abandoned Ships. Would be great to see a few more added to the list. Any suggestions?

Gaseous anomalies
Cosmic dust cloud
Dark energy
Space debris
Quantum fluctuation

    Agreed.

Need more, and they need to stay longer. I've had several disappear upon close approach.

Take a cue from horror movies. Vampires, unstoppable killers, clowns, critters, even leprechauns

Okay, most of that probably wouldn't fit star trek, but have a salt vampire or something.

had those years ago, from cluster zones we had, for scanning, exploring and recover lost items, and often fight on both ground and space.
now, we dont have that anymore. i really do missed them.

how about black stars /matter nebulas and other things that can damage your ship and strand you in sector space until either somone comes to help or you mayday for a faction repair ship, for a small dilithium fee

well, I wouldn't mind seeing something that could perhaps lead to a 'ship in a bottle' episode. Basically where you have to do something on your ship, be it return your warp drive because its suddenly slipped out of phase because of an anomaly or you hit a quantum filament and you have to get your ship moving again. The only problem with something like 'damage' to your ship is that they would have to program the nodes for all the various interiors, plus they would need the interiors for all ships that presently dont have them. While this is a monumental task, I say yes please, lets gets some functionality to interiors and make it worthwild to even have them in the first place. I understand this is a 'long shot' because of the amount of work, (considering part of it doesn't even exist as a mechanic anywhere in that an event can call for a player interior, the closest we have is that ready room interaction in the romulan story arc)

    Correction.

We have Abandoned --> STARFLEET <-- Ships.

I have yet to see a single Abandoned Ship in sector space that ISN'T a Starfleet ship.

In Klingon Space? Abandoned Starfleet Ship.
In Republic Space? Abandoned Starfleet Ship.
In Romulan Empire Space? Abandoned Starfleet Ship.
In Borg Space? Abandoned Starfleet Ship.
In the Alpha Quadrant? Abandoned Starfleet Ship.
In the Delta Quadrant? Abandoned Starfleet Ship.

It's almost as if there weren't any other factions in the game that matter or something ... :*

I mean, here's what I would have expected to see ...

In Klingon Space? Abandoned KDF Ship.
In Republic Space? Abandoned Romulan Ship.
In Romulan Empire Space? Abandoned Tal Shiar Ship.
In Borg Space? Abandoned Borg Sphere Ship.
In the Alpha Quadrant? Abandoned Cardassian/Breen/Dominion Ship.
In the Delta Quadrant? Abandoned Ocampa/Kobali/Hirogen/Heirarchy/Borg Ship.

But no ... every Abandoned Ship is a Starfleet Ship.

I'm not even talking about changing the rewards or the mini-game or anything ... just the visuals of the ship that has been Abandoned.

How about those trade freighters that used to be in the Sirius and Regulus Sector Blocks?

More Deep Space Encounters. These are actually fun now, but so few spawn compared to old sector space, and they usually despawn before you have a chance to fly to them.

Everyone knows that Federation ships are far more prone to mechanical failure than any other kind.

    SPACE AMOEBA!

    Abandoned ships should yield:
    a common ship part
    - or -
on a very rare drop, a prisoner or a common doff

    Unknown Comet should yield
    a random solid raw material

    Unknown Nebula should yield
    a random gaseous raw material

Gaseous anomalies - a random gaseous raw material
Cosmic dust cloud - a random solid raw material
Dark energy - An energy booster like Deuterium
Space debris - Common ground or space item - or - on a very rare drop, a survivor/common doff or even a prisoner.
Quantum fluctuation - Who could say what this would drop?
    Temporal anomaly - Nakuhl prisoner
Space Rift - Anything at all

A TimeGate Dimension Jump Portal, that rewards you with a fight with a massive starship from a past reality or dimension, would be cool. XP

That would probably be a little bit hard to code though or make.
The Rising of the Delta is the best expansion ever, and people love it to death because it is a good day to die in the endless struggle for supremacy of your own conviction. (A spin off of the Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and all the players love it.)

btw: crystaline entity would have made for an excellent red alert.
I support the OP, because I'd like to see a lot more random events in sector space, more red alert type events (not like the nark'hul alert), approaching planetary systems should have a random encounter attached to it from time to time (something like the short patrole missions in the delta quadrant, some exist already anyway)
    Go pro or go home

Well we did have allot going on in sector space but not so much any more. I know I know I am strange but some boarding actions to get the ground trophies on the cardassians, Jem'hadar, Borg, and Breen would be nice. Also a ton of Anonymous readings that give R&D. A buff up on Borg npc ships, and allot more Borg ships seen flying around. Perhaps the old Neutral zones reestablished, with Patrols of npcs in them that will attack your ship at will if you are not from their faction. Thats just me.
