hi. I've promoted a bridge officer to commander. but it won't let me give her a specialist training thing.

I've more than enough points. but it won't let me pick anything

    you need to spend at least 10 point into a specialization with your character before you can train a bridge officer in it, and not all specialization are availabe for bridge officers.
