Not possible and not gonna happen. Xbox and PC STO are to entirely different games that don't even share the same data sets.

Separate servers for PC and the Consoles. Just like Neverwinter. And no good reason for Cryptic to allow such a character or account transfer to ever occur. Since doing so would reduce the profitability from Console players. Who are a new market for them. Which is where their focus is right now.

Eventually, the word will get out to the three or four people who have not started a thread on this topic and they will get around to starting a thread on this topic. To which the reply will still be, "No."

Not technically valid. Too many problems with doing this. Not to mention the consoles are using a slightly different version of the game than the PC is.

They already stated that in order to play PC/XBox/PS4 versions, you will HAVE to have 3 seperate accounts. They are not going to change this policy. It's a business and technology based decision.

you should probably have read the dozen other threads concerning this first before you posted...

Even if they don't want to support cross play severs I can get that. I can understand how hard that would be for the console players to catch up. But to be honest they should have account synchronization. Give me my LTS and my z-store purchases on the consoles. This can be done without cross play and it is a good thing for STO. For example my friends stopped playing STO and because they stopped I don't play as much some times going months without playing that means I am going months of not buying things in the z-store. Now when I do play I still don't want to buy much in the z-store because I am not playing as much. However now that it is on console I have a new group of friends to play with. Why should I have to purchase LTS and all the ships I already paid for again? Nothing makes you feel more ripped off than what I am describing. Aren't I valuable as a returning player even if it is on the console? So now instead of playing with my friends and telling them how fun STO can be I am telling them I feel ripped off and won't play...Now they hear my story and it makes them not want to play...because why give money to a company that cheated my friend? Account synchronization is not a new concept. Smite did this for both consoles and it worked out really well. PLEASE DEV'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN LET ME LEVEL NEW CAPTAINS WITH MY FRIENDS!!!

Should mention that as a returning 'PC player', you have no rights as an XBox or PS4 player.
You get no benefit from playing one when you give up and move to another.
To maintain any such benefits, as a PC player, you'll have to continue playing on your PC.
MAC players didn't get the benefits you're describing when STO was discontinued on that platform.
Their accounts were simply closed from what I understand.
No reason they would change from that example.

@wendysue53 Mac players were offered a refund on LTS and zen purchases made in a certain period before the closure but could optionally continue to play on windows with their accounts.

Still the request that pops up is weird. When I buy a game I completed on PC for a console I start fresh because it's a different thing.

Sony and Microsoft said no. It would cut heavily into their profits if we could do that. So yeah that is buisness. Deal.

Sony and Microsoft can not loose out on profits on these sales because they already happened....also they let people transfer purchases from PC smite to Xbox and PS4 when it launched....PS4 also allowed this for Paragon all pc purchases were unlocked when I linked it to my ps4 account. (Side note not what I am asking for but with paragon PC and PS4 players cross play) I just want my purchases, other companies have shown this is possible. STO let us down is the point. Why will they not work to get us the same?

Sony and Microsoft CAN lose out on the profits, specifically because those sales already happened.

The console version is designed to bring new money and new players from a new market to STO and Cryptic. They don't want you to leave the PC, but if you choose to do so, then you have to start fresh, because it's a completely different version of the game.

As has been said, if I the PC version of any other game, and finish it completely and then buy another version of that game for either console, I have to start from be the beginning again...because it's a different version of the game.

It's not really that difficult to comprehend is it?
