Request: TMP/TWOK & TFF/TUC Era Bridge Pack?

I don't know about anyone else, but I loved the bridges of the TOS movie Enterprise and Enterprise-A. The closest we have in game besides the TOS bridge are the Prometheus bridge variations.

We have TNG options, VOY options, DS9 options, but nothing for the films.

Would anyone else like to see these movie-era bridges made available as options?

The last new bridge pack we had was tied in with the Intrepid pack. The problem is they "don't sell" very well. The only time we're gonna get a new bridge besides those tied to lockbox ships is most likely if they use the assets in a mission like they did with the Voyager interior.

I'd love them as well. The bridges are a part of Star Trek, as far as this trekkie is concerned. :)

What, it's not like it has a big-screen TV, a comfortable chair -- oh, never mind. ;)

But, yeah, this game is sorely missing some of the details from the TMP era, notably the bridges and hand weapons. Perhaps a pack like the original ToS bundle?

I've noticed that too, the absence of items from the TOS movie era. Sure, we have the Connie-refit, the Miranda, the Excelsior, and the Oberth class, and the TWOK uniforms (thankfully!), but other than that there's no phasers, no bridges, or anything of that kind. And the expense to get some of these things, like the Excursion Jackets, Engineer's Vests, Captain's Vests, and most recently the Kelvin Timeline goods.

Now it may have to do with CBS, only having the series rights and not the screen rights. But I'd find it hard to believe that some sort of deal couldn't be brokered. Nonetheless, the game overwhelmingly favors the TNG/DS9/VOY era. The TOS only recently got a lot of love from the AOE expansion. While the movies are mostly paid content.

I'd love it if they added a TOS movie era bridge to the game. But, as has already been mentioned, they usually only do bridges and interiors if they are tied to a featured episode or other content like a ship. I doubt very much we'll be seeing a T6 movie era Connie refit anytime soon, and it's unlikely that they'll do a mission in that time period...though not impossible. I mean, they have Chekov and Scotty from that Era (basically) already in the game, so it's possible they could bring them back for another temporal mission maybe.

I would go for the Bridge pack.

The issue is they "don't sell" well. Make the Bridges look like on the real ones. Most don't even remotely look like the ones from the movies or shows.

Probably the most accurate one they have is the TOS bridge. Next would be the Galaxy bridges, but even they had something about them that felt off.

The "Galaxy" versions are way too big and oval in shape. And they have the side seats kinda on ramps on the sides. Which is not supposed to be there at all.

If they do more accurate bridges, I'm sure they will sell. I refuse to buy one that isn't correct. This is why I hadn't bought one yet.

They need to add the bridge from the animated series with two elevators on it. They should throw that in while we are at it. That way it would make a full 3 bridge set.

i think cryptic chose for the last seen version of the TNG bridge with side ramps as seen in the movie star trek: generations.

Easier on the Dev's to have a poll to decide which of the 80's film bridge's to add.

Aside from the NX-Excelsior's one-off, all of the Starfleet bridges were rearrangements/relights/repaints of just two individual sets, so it wouldn't be that big a deal to build.

Exactly. The Reliant/Grissom/Enterprise/Saratoga all utilized the same set. Same with the Ent-A and Excelsior.

But it's still comically enlarged, a type-8 would fit in there. The Voyager and TOS bridges are much more reasonably sized. The Defiant bridges also kinda work, as well as the new default one but none of them looks era appropriate.

@OP I'm in support. The Enterprise-A/Excelsior set also was repurposed for the Enterprise-Ds battle bridge, so there would be that use as well.

This as well. Most Bridges are way too large for the size they should be.

Yes, I'd like all of those bridges/interiors available as options. Especially the later TUC one (second photo).

Personally I'd like to see a TNG TV series full interior, since we got the Intrepid for Science characters and Defiant for Tactical characters (though I'm not sure if that one has a full interior). Since the Galaxy class looks to be the most used by Engineers, I think it's only beneficial to make a accurate bridge for that, with a interior that fits. The new Original Series Constitution interior and bridge is awesome, but, I don't think it's appropriate for the current century in the game.
  • theotherscotty#9105 theotherscotty Member Posts: 385 Arc User
The full Galaxy interior would be nice. "Make it so..." I imagine it'd be pretty roomy, being a fairly large ship. And the Sovereign interior too.
