Definitely Regular Phasers since they can be crafted with nifty mods like Pen and Over.
The proc of the Kelvin phasers is a pretty meh knockback and hold whereas regular phasers have the potential to knock shields offline.
Kelvin Phasers are pretty much only for the cool visuals.

That marvelous blue phaser beam... I can totally see why you like TOS phasers
Personally though, while I do like the blue beam, I don't like the sound much- so I got Phased Biomatter beam arrays
Stupid, you might say, but this was for my main who is flying around in a Presidio, and he doesn't have access to all the great fleet goodies that come with a fully upgraded Fleet. So DPS isn't necessarily his top priority XD
I want blue for my JJ Prize too, but youre right, the TOS phasers look great, but dont sound great. So Im going to load mine up with fleet Tetryon beams, turrets, and quantum torps. Not a fan of the red movie "phasers" that are really canon spray. Blue tetryon will still look great next to the blue ample nacelles. Paid $50 value (keys selling at 5.8 mil) for it on the exchange, grinded my AoY toon all weekend and got him up to 33, almost there, and I get to unwrap my Christmas present. Ive barely bought ships over the years, so I let myself splurge on the JJ Prize after throwing $25 at lockboxes trying to get it cheaper that way. This was the one ship Cryptic finally broke me and my anti lockbox stance. I held out a long time lol.

You could go with Phased Biomatter or Andorian phasers, since they are a. blue and b. have phaser proc, but fleet tetryon would probably do good on the KT Constitution.
And oh my, I hadn't thought of buying keys and then selling them... I always assumed that they were too expensive for anyone to buy XD
That means I could actually get a Vengeance or D4x for not that much (I've raised so far around 10 million EC for buying either of them, it's small because I'm not very good at grinding :P don't have all the patience or time to do so)...
I do not have any of the JJ-ships. Though I am interested in maybe acquiring the D4x BoP the next time Infinity Lock Boxes appear in the game.
Having said that, my AoY captain is currently using blue energy weapons while flying the T6 Samsar. However, I am not using any sort of phasers. Instead, I am using Coalition Disruptor Beams Arrays and I actually like the "pew" "pew" sound effects.

I would recommend waiting until Cryptic releases whatever their next lockbox will be, and then purchasing the D4x. It will probably be cheaper then, certainly cheaper than the amount of zen, dilithium or EC you would have to spend to get a D4x from the Infinity Lock Box

Maybe... for now it's simply a shinny I would like to have.
What's more important to me right now is to upgrade two complete sets of Epic space gear (weapons, consoles, engines.. etc) for each of my 10 captains. That way I should have plenty of variety to swap things around between captains. Naturally, rep gear is bound to character so they cannot be swapped to other captains.
I did see the Vengeance selling for 179m EC last night and I have to admit that I was kinda tempted to buy it simply so that I can have the box in my inventory.
Wow, the price on those things has come down quite a bit. I only have like 5 million EC right now so it'll be a while before I can afford the Vengeance and the KT-Connie, but I'm saving up for them. Time to start selling some R&D materials (it adds up quick).

I just farm Admiralty missions. They give tonnes of experience (leveled two of my characters to Level 60 by accident :P) and I've probably made more EC than I ever had before. Still, I only have around 9 or so million raised, so I probably won't be buying a Vengeance any time soon
Maybe I could use that money to get a D4x and instead try and raise the 400 some lobi I still need via dilithium farming (I'm getting lots of dilithium from those Admiralty missions, I don't seem to be getting lots of dilithium from the Rich Dilithium mining mission anymore, getting to 700+ doesn't award you with the full reward now)
Yeah. 179m is cheap for a t6 lobi ship. You should've gone for it @jaguarskx.
Actually, I believe I was mistaken about the price of the Vengeance.
When I searched again for "Intel Dreadnought" after getting home last night I saw a bunch of things call "Intel Dreadnought Equipment" or something similar and those ranged between 150m EC to 250m EC.
Since I did not know there were equipment packs for the Vengeance I simply assumed the 179m EC asking price was for the Vengeance rather than the equipment packs. So I am glad I did not make a rash knee jerk purchase.

Yea, I've seen those when I searched for the Vengeance price....I was rather hoping it would go down in price, I've only around 10 million EC (which is hardly enough) so I suppose I just have to wait and accumulate more EC.
The Nautilus is a great sci ship for those sci captains that stick to space magic builds, but it's a horrible looking ship. I wish they'd let us use other ship models on the damn thing. Hell, I'd happily fork out Zen if I could buy a ship visual slot, or holo-emitter thingamajig that would let me use, say the Wells Temporal ship model with it.
I've been using the Excelsior line for years, so I found it cool that the Connie is pretty much a T6 Excel under the hood, with the obvious tweaks/seat upgrades/etc., meaning that I pretty much just transferred my crew and its abilities right over. If you're an Excelsior fan, and are looking to pick up the Connie, the transition will be pretty smooth.
I also wouldn't have thought the ToS skin that comes with it would work as well as it does -- I just assumed I'd keep it with the movie skin. But the ToS paint, plus the orange bussard domes, really makes it look like someone gave Jefferies a bigger budget, and he went to town. So I've been using that, plus some Andorian phasers for the blue beam effect.
My only real gripe with the ship is that they've mounted the model too high on its origin, meaning that the center of gravity appears to be inside the secondary hull, instead of being higher up, just behind the impulse engines where it should be. It makes it appear a bit awkward when the ship is pitching/rolling, but it's a common problem amongst the Connie-style layouts in this game, and just a minor personal gripe of mine. Otherwise, they really outdid themselves on the model's quality.
